Question about Motorola Mobility MOTOKRZR K1 Cellular Phone

Open Question

Phone won't make or receive calls

My screen display seems fine but I can't make or receive calls. If I call a number, say voicemail, the display says Calling Voicemail... and then nothing happens. A day or so before this happened I noticed my phone making strange crackling sounds when I flipped it open.

I didn't drop my phone or anything else that I can think of that might have caused physical damage.

Any ideas? I have the montly insurance. Should I try to get the phone replaced?

Changing the voicemail message would entirely depend on your provider - how they set it up for you and how you can setup your own message. They must have a specific number you can dial to set your voicemail message. This setting is not available on your phone; rather voicemail messages on the voicemail server of your provider. So, the best way out would be contact the provider. Cheers

Forgot unlock code voicemail kyocera jax

Go to this link...

Scroll down to page #39 to where it says Use Voicemail and follow the instructions!! As per the service tech I spoke to on the phone to find this link, following these instructions will automatically erase your old voicemail unlock code as well as any as yet unheard messages.

Just in case anyone still has difficulty in finding the instructions.....

Set Up your VoicemailBefore your phone can receive voicemail messages, you must set up a 4-10 digit passcode and record a personal voicemail greeting. When you have set up your voicemail, all unanswered calls to your phone are automatically transferred to voicemail, even if your phone is in use or turned off.1. Press and hold the 1 key.2. Follow the system prompts to create a password and record a greeting.
Check your Voicemail

When you receive a voicemail message, a
notification with a voicemail message icon
appears at the top of your screen.
• At the voicemail notification, select Call to call
your voicemail number and follow the system
prompts to retrieve the message.
Select Ignore to clear the notification without
checking messages. The notification icon
remains on top of the screen until you listen to
the message
• When only the voicemail message icon
appears on top of the screen, select
Voicemailand follow the system prompts
to retrieve the message.
Best of luck!!

When I go into my voicemail and put in my password...TWO OF MY CONTACTS also appear on the screen under the password!!! I removed those contacts and then re-entered them into my phone and they reappeared...

Your new phone most likely does not have the bells and whistles to speak the name of the caller when you receive a call.

As for the names appearing when you call voicemail, those names could have similar numbers to your voicemail password. I hope this helps.

When I receive a call I see the phone number but

I have the same problem using Rogers wireless, and I called them about it. It seems that when a call is being made from another cell phone, regardless of whether it is on you contact list or not, it dispays only the number, because it is essentially on their server. If the person hangs up or leaves a voicemail, then any relevent information, such as the contact name associated with the number is displayed on your phone, because that is how your phone deals with that number. In other words, when someone is calling, most likely you will only see the number, and not a lot you can do about it.

Voice Message Icon always displaying

The voice mail symbol is sent to your handset by the network when you get a voicemail, they then send the handset another message to remove the icon once you have listened to the voicemail... Sometimes an error occurs and the phone doesnt receive the removal message...

Try getting a friend or using another phone send yourself a voicemail, then using your phone, check your voicemails, listen to the one you have and delete it... The icon should go... However if its a hardware fault with the handset display then this will not fix it...

Where is the voice record key?

Your network stores the voicemail messages you receive. To listen to your messages, call your voicemail number.

Note: Your service provider may give you additional information about using voicemail.

The phone calls your voicemail phone number. If no
voicemail number is stored, your phone prompts you to
store a number

Keypad not working during phone call

If sounds like DTMF is turned off on your phone. If it is then it is not sending the correct tone over the air which is why nothing happens. Go into setting, then to initial setup and key down toward the bottom and you should see DTMF if it is off change it to short or long and that should correct you problem.
