Windshield washer does not work, I can hear the pump working. When I filled the reservoir, I noticed that the entrance to the reservoir was filthy. I removed that part and cleaned it, so it makes me think that the tubing is also clogged.
SOURCE: 1998 xj8 heater only works when engine at higher revs
There is an Electic Water Pump for the Heater that is located under the hood near the left fenderwell. If it's not a fuse, then likely, this pump is bad. Mine went bad in my 1999 Jaguar XJR. It runs close to $400 for the pump, so hopefully that's not the problem. Price does not include labor.
Since I'm comfortable with Electronics, I replaced the brushes in my motor and it works fine now. Heat all the time and only cost $1.00 You may be able to find a shop to rebuild the motor for you at a fraction of the cost.
SOURCE: How do I pair my bluetooth phone to my 2006 Jaguar
Have you contacted jaguar to be sure the car is wired?
Just because there is a phone symbol on the stereo means nothing.
They all have that.
Go to Jaguars web site and email them with you cars VIN number and ask if the car has been prewired.
they will get back to you in about in 2 days and let you know.
If it has been prewired you can get it set up for a price, if not, you are out of luck.
SOURCE: AC BLOWER NOT BLOWING
The resistor that controls the blower motor. it is a small gadget that has a 2 or 3 wire plug . Replacing the resistor should fix your problem. It is on or near the blower motor. Under the dash. Not easy to remove . But it can be. Please give thumbs up if helped.
SOURCE: How do i fill my transmission fluid in a a 99
There is no fill tube on either the 5HP24 (1996-2002) or 6HP26
(2003-2006) transmissions. They are both "sealed for death". By changing
your transmission fluid you will prolong the life of the transmission.
Jaguar only offered a 50,000 mile warranty, so they stand to benefit if
your transmission conks out at 90,000 miles. The car has to be up on a
lift (or at least on 4 tall jack stands) to check the fluid level or to
add more fluid. Plus, the engine has to be running. You check the fluid
level from the fill plug, and the plug is right next to the exhaust pipe
which gets very hot. If you turn off the engine during the procedure,
about 5 liters of fluid will drain out of the fill plug. Here's a video
which shows the process for changing the fluid and pan on a 2003
transmission. The procedure is essentially the same for the 2002 and
earlier cars, but there are some slight differences in the transmission
internally.
