I know! just stick your P.E.N.I.S. in the disk tray, close it, then once the pain becomes unbearable (1 to 2 minutes) open it, C.U.M. in a glass, drink it, then your problem will be solved. its amazing that this actually works, but it does!

How do i get my hdmi to work for my ps3 system

Note: How to reset video output settings
If you are attempting to change to an HDMI cable from a different video cable or if the video output settings do not match those required for the display in use, the screen may stay black. If the screen stays black for more than 30 seconds, you may need to reset the video output settings of the PS3.

To reset video output settings:

  1. Turn the PS3 system off by holding the Power button on the front of the console till you see the power light turn red.
  2. Then hold the power button on the front of the console for at least five seconds until you hear a second beep to turn the system on again. The video output settings will automatically be reset to the standard resolution.

Minimum Requirements

  • PlayStation┬«3 computer entertainment system
  • SIXAXISTM wireless controller (and USB cable)
  • AC power cord
  • HDMI cable1 (sold separately)
  • TV or display monitor with HDMI port and capable of displaying picture in HD resolution
  • Updated system software installed on your PS3
Visit PS3 System Software Update to download and install the most recent version.
  • TV "Input" or "Video" channel for the HDMI port
You need to know the TV "Input" or "Video" channel for the HDMI port on your TV. For instance, if your TV has multiple "Input" or "Video" channels, (i.e., "Input 1", "Input 2", "Input 3", etc.), you will need to toggle through each "Input" channel on your TV until you find the correct channel that displays the HDMI picture. This is important to remember, especially if you do not see the HDMI picture after you connect the cable and configure the PS3 settings. Please refer to the TV instruction manual for more information.

After the recent ps3 update, the tv icon is missing from the xmb. I understand it could be a firmware issue but also think it could be linked to the fact that i cannot watch videos on youtube above 240p...

The most recent update to the PS3 firmware changed the TV icon to TV/Video Services. If you are not connected through component cables or HDMI cables, your PS3 will not display anything above 240p. One solution might be to check for updates again, or connect through HDMI.

Ps3 screen margins too wide for tv display

Try holding your power button on your ps3 down till it blinks.(not your main power switch on back of console) I do believe if correct, this should reset your ps3 resolution to an auto set for best display on your tv. It may pop up with a message on resolution, but that should work. I had similar problems and that worked for me.

Put your PS3 in standby mode (hold the power button until the light turns red) then release, and hold the power button again for about 10 seconds, or until the light beeps a second time. When the PS3 restarts, it should display using whatever it finds first.

Hdmi on my sony PS3 not working

Have you changed your HDMI settings recently? Make sure you are using the correct resolution supported by your HDTV. The audio settings can be changed independently to the display.

You can reset the display settings by turning off the PS3 and holding down the power button down for 10 seconds.

Error 80029906 and error 80029941 on playstation 3

I had similar problems with my console. I could play DVDs fine. Games would start, usually, and then freeze. Blue ray movies would give me the 80029906 error.

I tried every fix I could find on the Internet, but nothing helped. My system is no longer under warrantee, and spending $148 to get a refurb back from Sony, regardless of the actual issue, bothered me to no end.

I finally found a company, videogame911.com, which specializes in game system repair. Basically, I went to their website and created a service request, then shipped my PS3 to them (3 days with UPS Ground). The same day they received it, I got an update from them with their inspection results (bad blu-ray player) and an estimate for repair and return shipping costs. The repair and return shipping were $154. I authorized the repair and paid online, and they had my console fixed and shipped back the next day.

The whole process took about a week to complete, my console is working like a champ, and most importantly, I got MY console back.

Granted, the cost was a couple of bucks higher then what Sony would have charged me. However, given that the problem could have been something else, such as a dirty lens or something, there was a good possibility that the actual repairs could have been cheaper. And, unlike with Sony, I didn't loose a single file off of my hard drive.

Hope that helps.
