dvd is not spinning up probably. will need to clean the spindle. best way to do this is with the unit unplugged, carefull remove the cover. using a cotton swab and 91% isoproply alcohol, clean the spindle where it grasps the disc at its center and spins the disk. reassemble and test.

Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.

Look very closly to the loading tray and there should be a small hole in it get a paper clip and bend out one section and push it into the hole firmly and the tray should come out get your disk and push the tray back in.The belt or the motor that drives the tray has pooped out'
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Coby products are the bottom of the barrel as far as electronics go. They have a high failure rate, and very lousy customer support; you get what you pay for...
If you still can, bring it back to the store for a better brand. Coby has extremely lousy support, even when under warranty. I feel for you, as if you can't take it back, you are probably stuck with a paperweight.

1. Press SETUP 2. Press FFW, F REW, NEXT, PREVIOUS 3. Change the code to 255 using the RIGHT arrow key
