Program a coby dvd-938 to a dish satellite remote?

Direct Code Entry
  1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
  2. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
  3. Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
  4. With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand.

MyBlockbuster DVD is stuck in my Coby TV-DVD1350 built in DVD player. THis happens frequently, but this time I can not get the DVD out. I pit the dvd in, started it and it shut down. I cna not get it out....

Look very closly to the loading tray and there should be a small hole in it get a paper clip and bend out one section and push it into the hole firmly and the tray should come out get your disk and push the tray back in.The belt or the motor that drives the tray has pooped out'

Good luck

Dvd wont load or play

Most likely the laser diode has died...

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Coby products are the bottom of the barrel as far as electronics go. They have a high failure rate, and very lousy customer support; you get what you pay for...

If you still can, bring it back to the store for a better brand. Coby has extremely lousy support, even when under warranty. I feel for you, as if you can't take it back, you are probably stuck with a paperweight.
