Question about Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop Jet Black
I can turn on my laptop and do what ever I want without any problem but after it sits for awhile during downloads exc.. it will freeze. When I open the lid there is just a black screen ans no matter how long Ilet it sit for it wont go away so I have to do a hard shutdown. I'm thinking if I were to change my settings that when I close my lid it goes into sleep mode that may solve the problem but im not sure it will continue to download in sleep mode. Will it?
This is a problem with the BIOS of your laptop. You can do a BIOS upgrade by downloading the updated BIOS from the laptop manufacturer's website. If you close the lid and your laptop goes to sleep mode, your downloads will be halted since you system will go on to power savings-mode (most nics are disabled during this mode). What you can do is let your laptop sit during downloads but change the power savings mode to always on (RC on desktop>properties>screensaver>power>power scheme is always on).
