Printing wrong characters

I tryed to print a thing for off the internet about the bone structure, it would let me print it with no problems. After it was finished I looked at the parper and all the letters were ascii 2 characters and the picture was just bullets all over the page. I tried this many times and i get the same thing every time and have no clue about what is the problem. If any one know what the problem is your help will be helpful.

SOURCE: Printing weird characters

Sounds like a driver issue. The computer expects the printer to interpret #! as part of the "next page" string. The printer doesn't interpret it that way, and prints it instead. You'll either need to change your printer's emulation mode (if it has that feature, some older dot matrix printers do), or get a new printer driver. I'm guessing the latter. You're probably using a driver that's for a slightly different model.

SOURCE: Booklet printing pages in wrong order.

I believe this is going to be a software issue. Do a print preview of the booklet first to see if they are showing up in the right order. If they are, then it is a printer issues and I really can't help you there, but it they aren't then you know it might be a software issue. Check you formatting on the document before you trying printing it again.

My hp 1200 laserjet keeps on printing pseudo characters and not printing actual pages whats the problem with it?

Gibberish printing is almost always caused by one of two things:

1. The wrong driver is being used to send the print job.

2. The data cable (usb or parallel, you do not state in your question) is defective.

Check both of these and if that does not fix it post back with more details such as connection method, windows version, programs, the more details I get, the more likely I can solve your problems.

Printer character very small , how to character normal

A character set is presented with which unscaled 2D molecular structural diagrams can be constructed. A minimal subset has been implemented in ROM on CBM microcomputers, whilst the complete set has been defined as a character font on an ICL PERQ computer. Structural diagrams have also been output on dot-matrix and daisy-wheel printers using appropriate software to print the special characters. The character set provides a simple means of displaying molecular structures on inexpensive microcomputers, on printers and on hardware offering user-definable character fonts.

Prints out 13 stickers with strange characters

Is this a 2844Z? the 2844 is an EPL printer and the 2844Z is a ZPL printer. Since your have described the printer as 2844 but mentioned that you are performing 3-flash proceedures, it sounds like you have installed the wrong driver. uninstall the driver and install the LP2844z driver so that you can send the correct print language to the printer. If this is not the case, then you need to clarify:
What is your model?
Details about the driver installed?
Firmware version of your printer?
Connectivity? (Serial, USB or Parlallel)?
What are the characters that are coming out on the page? ASCII -Extended?

We are setting up new TallyGenicom LA800. However, printout has dot or period in between each characters printed. Hence, a single row info is printed on two rows. What seems to be the problem?

It would be strange for the printer to print dot between each printed character without this coming from the system.
As a check the first thing I would recomend doing would be to print a self test print on the printer, you can do this easiest by printing a menu print.
To print a menu print put the pritner OFFLINE
Press the button under MENU
Press the button under PRINT.
The printer should print out its configuration page, if this has dots between each character then this defiantly means you have printer problems.
You can try defaulting the pritner back to factory settings, this is down by holding down the four buttons (1, 2, 3 & 4) under the LCD display whilst powerind the printer on.

If the menu prints OK, then there is some sort of other strange system or communication problem.
If the pritner is connected via serial, check the serial settings on the pritner also chack the pin configuration of the connector used to print to the printer.

Try printing from another system or application to identify what might be causing the problem for example an application or driver problem, perhaps try printing from a PC directly to the pritner to check the interface on the printer is OK.

Check the emulation setting on the pritner ensure this is correct.

Will not print

Does this happen when you print from a word document, PDF etc..
What operating system are you using?
if you are using Windows
open your printer folder from the control panel print a test page from the driver.

If you try to print something and strange characters print.
either you have a corrupted print job in the memory..
Clear the Print que from the PC, unplg the printer for a few minutes.
print a test page from the driver.

You possibly could have the wrong drivers installed, which will also cause this problem.
this is a link to Lexmark, and you can down load the proper driver here.

Printing from the internet or e-mail

TO isolate the problem you can do a print preview and see if if looks good before printing.

If it does look correct before printing try

1) Sounds like there was a communication problem between the printer and computer.(IF the printout is garbles characters)

Typically you need to

a) Delete any existing print jobs.
b) Turn off printer.
c) Verify all cable connections to printer.
d) Power on printer

Try printing again...

If print previw showed "Code"

If the print out is "HTML Code" make sure you are not selecting "view source" and printing it...
