Question about Amana NDE2330AY Electric Dryer
My 2 year old Amana electric dryer recently started running for an extended period of time without heating up.
I have removed the face and pulled the heating coils out - they do not look burned but i'm not sure how to tell if the unit is defective.
I do not have a multi meter but will go get one if needed. Could someone let me know how to trouble shoot if the problem resides with the element, fuse or thermostats.
I am capable of changing the parts myself, i simply need to identify which parts to change. Any help would be appreciated.
I HAVE AN AMANA DRYER MODEL LE8217W2 ITWILL COME ON FOR A SHORT TIME AND THEN CUT OFF. I CHANGE THE BELT, THE MOTOR AND THE THERMOSTAT. THE DRYER STAYS ON , BUT WILL NOT HEAT UP. WHAT'S NEXT ???? PLEASE HELP!

U need to tap wires on the heater to may sure theres no break... would be lot easier to trouble shot with multi meter.. so u can ohm out parts and check for voltage
