Problem for Sony KP-51WS500 51 in. Rear Projection Television

Screen goes green then black

Yeah I'm getting the same problem on mine. I turn it on, after a few seconds it flashes green and the screen shuts off. The audio may go on for another two or three seconds but completely shuts off. It's giving me the same blinking lights as the poster says, five at first than 8 after.

Somepeople I talked to say it could be the green bulb, others say it overheating.

Any help?

That model is famous for bad picture tubes, and thats the classic symptom of a bad tube shutting the set down
