Cartridge not installed properly

Is anyone can help me to solve this problem with my printer?

I have canon PIXMA iP1300 printer; using only color cartridge. things have been fine till 7 months now the following message appears when I try printing "An ink cartridge is not installed properly; open the printer cover make sure the cartridge is installed properly & close the cover" I have tried removing & refixing the cartridge but not in vain. please help

I think that you need to clean up the side of the cartridge the one with the microchip.... and then try to put it up on the printer...

Head cleaning

will u check printer's print cartridge is working condition ?? if yes ?
open printer door, remove print cartridge from printer. c inside left of printer, 2 earthing steal wire is there.. check both of properly connected or working ? check anyone is not push ? if yes ? pull with scrue driver,

Hi I have just put in ink cartridges and the reg light check print cartridges keeps flashing is there anyone there to help me

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
Sir/Ma'am If the Check Print Cartridge message is shown and Red Light Flashing then it means that Either ink Cartridge is not installed properly or the function for detecting the ink level is disabled. For it Make sure that you install ink cartridges at correct position as indicated by the label on the print head holder. Press push mark until ink cartridge click into the place.
If you are sure then you have installed ink cartridge properly then try following to stop the flashing of red Light.
  1. Lift the lid to the printer (cartridges are on the right side.)
  2. Turn the printer off, then power it on again.
  3. Unplug the power cable from the back of the printer when the grinding noise starts.
  4. Move the carriage towards the middle of the printer (this procedure may take a couple of tries to get the timing correct.)
  5. Take out the cartridges and close the top cover.
  6. Reconnect the power cord. The power and the resume lights (green and red) should be on.
  7. Open the top cover, reinstall the cartridges, and close the top cover.
Now Turn On the printer, Mostly this issue is resolved by this,
But if still you get the message and red light still flash then surely its an issue of Ink Cartridge, your ink Cartridge is defective, You need to change the ink cartridge, Your problem will be solved.

My MP490 is saying that I do not have the print head installed. It worked fine when I last used it on yesterday. Today nothing! Can anyone help with how to lear the message?

The printhead not installed error means that the printhead and the printer itself are not communicating properly. This could be a temporary system error, the printhead (cartridge) having failed or the printer needing service.

Make sure that both cartridges (color and black) are installed correctly and are the Canon cartridges for this printer. Replace if they are low or have clogged with ink from going unused. (Note: the color cartridge goes on the left and the cover for each cartridge should close with a click and be flush against the cartridge.)

To check if this is a temporary error, with the printer on, unplug your data cable (USB), then remove the ink cartridges. When the printer indicates "Insert ink cartridges", unplug the power cable from the back of the printer. (I tend to unplug the data cable from both the computer and the printer and the power cord from the wall after removing it from the printer as well.) Wait a minute then plug the power cord back into the wall outlet (if unplugged) and then into the printer. Turn on the printer if needed. Then reinsert the ink cartridges when prompted to do so. (Make sure to fully seat the cartridges.) Close the scanner unit and print a calibration page if you see a prompt for one. Then reconnect your USB cable and try printing a job.

If this doesn't solve the problem, then decide if the printer is worth servicing if it is out of warranty or conact Canon if it is in warranty.

Dear sir, though i had filled up ink into the cartirage , there is an error message E5. KINDLY INTIMATE HOW TO SOLVE PROBLEM

E5-5 = The ink cartridges are not installed or a non-supported ink cartridge is installed, or the ink cartridges are not installed properly. Install cartridges properly.

''Cartridge Error''! appears, followed by ''Refer to Device Documentation to Troubleshoot''. We have checked ink levels, tried a different cartridge, but nothing seems to work. We have also tried deleting...

please perform these methods,
1. Check whether the installed cartridge is cmpactible to your printer model.
2. If the cartridge is a refilled one, then replace it with a new one.
3. Try connecting the cartridge to any other supported printer and test. If prints well without any problem, then the problem may be with your printer and not with the cartridge.
4. Clean the dot like contact terminals present in the printer and try again.

If still your problem not solved, then you have to make a service call to HP.

Black ink cartridge not installed correctly on hp v40

You may try to remove and reinstall the Black cartridge. Be sure it is properly lock in place on the cartridge holder.

Ink cartridges cannot be recognized in canon printer

Remove the cartridges and gently wipe the cartridge contacts with a dry cloth, then put them back in. Then, hold the "resume" button for 10 seconds for each cartridge, that should reset them.
If that doesn't work, one of your cartridges (sadly) needs to be replaced.

The FINE Cartridge may not be installed properly, or the Cartridge may not be the compatible with this machine. Install the appropriate FINE Cartridge.

connect to the pc try to send a print job windows will show which cartridge have problem just need to change the problem cartridge
