Question about Samsung AW1003M Air Conditioner
I recently bought a 1.5 tonSamsung A/C.the service engineer did not open the drain plug as he said that the water in the tray will help in cooling and there will be less pressure on compressure?Since it is 40degree C here.Is it true? Please let me know
The puddle of water at the base gets swept up by the slinger blade and contributes towards cooling efficientcy.

Tips for a great answer:
Hey friend, thanks for your inquiry!
The sytrofoam inside the air conditioner is part of the duct work and it also helps to hold colder temperatures. The new air conditioners do not have drain holes but instead recycle the water inside your appliance to help cool the internal components. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt
