My Sears Kenmore 90 Series takes too long to dry cloths

First you need to make sure that the lint trap is completely clean. I don't mean just taking the screen off and making sure there isn't lint on that. You need to take the cover off of the back of the dryer and remove the shute the lint screen slides into. That can be backed up and it's quite common. Also when that happens it tends to blow out the fuse that is located in the same general area. It's about an inch long, white, with two wires connected by plug on terminals. Make sure you unplug the dryer if you're going to check that. Remove the two wires and with an electrical tester check for continuity across the two terminals. If there isn't continuity you'll also need a new fuse, Hope that helps.

My Kenmore Dryer 90 Plus Type DDOTELE2406028-EH54 Mod 11068942892 runs but does not heat.

The common problem in this case is in the high-limit thermostat and the thermal cut-off located on the heater housing. Verify this condition by bypassing the said components. Disconnect power then access the thermal cut-off (cut-out) and the high-limit thermostat by removing the bottom front panel.

Removing Bottom Front Panel

Disconnect the wires of each component then connect them together and insulate it properly. Reconnect the power then start the dryer. The problem is indeed in the thermal cut-off (cut-out) and the high-limit thermostat if the dryer heats up. Replace both parts and it should solve the problem. It is an easy and cheap repair to make. Let us know should you need further assistance.

Kenmore 90 Plus Series Gas Dryer that will not heat

It could be several other things thermal fuse, thermal cut out, hi limit thermostat, dryer coils, heat sensor,or igniter. All of these parts are inexpensive and easy to test and replace. There is a video at t http://appliancehelponline.com/gdryertroublevideo.html his will walk you thru the troubleshooting of these components. It may be a different model but the troubleshooting will be the same. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations. All parts come with installation instructions. Not all models are available. If you need help disassembling your machine there are videos of this also for most styles.

Dryer wont stay on... it appears to have intermittent heat.

You have a broken belt. This dryer is complimacated but here goes.Remove the console screwsand flip the control panel upwards simular to what they do on washers. Remove the 3 screw in the rear that hold the top and get the top off. Pop the bottom panel and back off the screws holding the front on then remove the screws from inside the top. You can get the front off now. Get the drum out and clean out the dryer. Oil all 4 wheels and idler. You will note the micro switch below the idler. that stops the drum from turning when the belt breaks. You will be a pro if you can fix this one.
