Not familiar with the model. Remote speakers are just added speaker option if "main" speakers are not used.
Main (livingroom speakers) or Remote (bedroom) or both can be used via switch. Just observe impedance your unit may allow.

The answer is "Yes"

Carlsbro gamma 15 400 internal amplifier

I'm not familiar with your exact product, but Parts Express sells all sorts of replacement in-speaker amplifiers. I've replaced several powered subwoofer amplifiers with their products, and the customers usually report-back that it sounds better than when new. You might want to check them out, and see if they have one that will fit.

HOW CAN I IMPROVE SOUND LEVEL ON MY LAPTOP WHEN STREAMING TV SHOWS FROM INTERNET?

Buy a set of speakers that plug into your usb port. Try Tiger Direct at: http://www.tigerdirect.com

When the site comes up just type: USB Speakers for Laptop in the search box and type GO. When the results are returned sort them by Price Low to High. They are as low as $9.99.

Below is a link to the speakers directly.

Installation instructions for BOSE 172075

If I saw some good close up pictures of the unit, I might be able to sort it out. Bose does not make that information easily available to protect their proprietary nature and profit motives. Photobucket is pretty good for posting that sort of thing.

Are you doing a complete install? Updating an existing system? Is the house under construction or renovation? or is it a new install in an older finiished house?

If I had it in front of me, with the zone amplifiers and speakers, I could sort it out in less than an hour without a manual and assuming all the parts were there.

Otherwise each built in system is going to be a bit different in the actual execution, contacting Bose direct and buying the manual or buying the manual on Ebay is still an alternative.

Most speakers do not need any sort of software. All you have to do is to plug it in

Rear speakers do not work with aftermarket stereo install

I had the same problem a while back after having a JVC MP£ player fitted at Halfords. The guy told me my sub-woofer behind the back seat wouldn't work with the new stereo which I said was ridiculous, then one of the other guys came to look and told him I needed a different cable to link everything together - then it worked brilliantly.
Sorry I dont know a part number but that is definately your problem.
I hope this helps - or better still that you already have it sorted !!

Bose 901 Series IV BLOWN?

Yes, if you hear any sort of crackling sound, that means it has blown. Given the cost of these units, I would suggest repair. I would also suggest contacting Bose, as many of their products have a lifetime warranty, so you might be in luck. Although, blowing your speakers because you made your speakers go louder than they were supposed to, is no covered in the warranty.

You can approach the repair in 2 ways..
1) Send in to Bose for repair - suggested
2) Take it to a service center, and see if they will be able to recone the speakers or replace. Most service centers are familiar with the 901 series, so you should be ok. If they have no idea what your talking about, stay away.

But yes, they are worth fixing.

No sound new install

More information would be required to help you with this problem properly. If you are using an amplifier and have no sound from it, you may just have the remote turn on of the amplifier not connected. The radio should have a blue wire coming from it and that would be the wire that goes to the amplifier to turn it on when the radio is turned on. If the radio has no sound coming from the speakers connected directly to the radio, you may have a bad speaker, bad speaker wire, or even have the speakers connected wrong.

If you can please give me more information about the install, like what model radio, what type of amplifier, how you have connected the wiring, how many speakers and what the speakers are connected to (an amp or the radio), I can help you figure out the problem. But please understand, since I am not there to look at your install, I can not know how you have connected everything. Are you using a universal wiring harness to connect to the factory harness and your radio? Have you added extra speakers? What wires have you connected to the speakers? If you have an amplifier, have you connected the RCA output of the radio to the RCA input of the amplifier? There are many things that must be connected properly for a sound system to work, if you are not familiar with how they connect together you really should have a professional do it for you. If you furnish the needed information I will be glad to help you further. If you do not furnish the needed information there is really nothing more I can help you with.
