Should be able to hear Sirius channels through your FM radio. Cassette is better, but you can just set up your FM radio to the same channel as you set the Delphi unit. See instruction manual (download from online here) http://www.siriusretail.com/pdf/hardware_support/delphi/skyfi_operations.pdf

Delphi skyfi2 Xm Radio Receiver car connection

Yes, you can buy an FM Direct adapter that will allow you to transmit directly to your car FM tuner, but if you have an older SkyFi2, the Fm transmitter is so strong, you can sit the radio on the floor and tune your car radio to your preset XM channel, like 107.1 FM and it will work great. Go into "Menu" and pick a channel that's not used locally.

This is a very old "1st Generation" unit from 2001, and probably has seen it's time, I'm sorry to say.

My delphi roady plays through cassette adaptor. Volume is very low even when audio level is moved all the way up. ???

You need to cycle back through after puttung the cassette in. Mine did that (before the cassette feature stopped working altogether) and I would press my "source" button so it would go from the cassette to the radio, then CD and back to the cassette - the sound would be back to normal again.

New Delphi installation over older delphi car kit

Just installed the xpress RC in my Durango, replacing my SKYFi2. Both units are Delphi (all of the newer xpress RC's are made by Audiovox now, but Amazon sent me the Delphi made unit). Everything swapped out with the exception of the 12dc power cord. Had to use the one included in the new unit, plug size that goes in the new cradle for the RC is different. In the new unit I did get two "user guides" in Spanish and none in English (I wish America would adopt one friggin standard language. English) but other than that it was quick and painless.

No power in car

Try a tester on the car lighter power cord( usually auto parts stores countermen will do it) to make sure the cord isnt shorted. It sounds like that might be the problem. Good Luck. I found that if you constantly move the unit from car to home the jacks start coming apart internally. the solder joints break and the connection gets spotty. I am on my second Roady 2 because of this. You can get a T6 tork driver and take them apart if you feel up to it or buy another one on ebay or craigslist of they have one. Good Luck
