I'm a bit confused, When you open Internet Explorer, What ask you for a username and password? OR , Is it the Laptop , at boot that's asking for a username and password? Or , wireless?
[email protected] is missing components so it will not go through as is. Most email have two parts after the address which is listed before the "@" sign. They usually don't have two periods in the part after teh @ sign. I would suggest trying [email protected]. There is no such thing as a ".ca" - unless you are out of the country trying to email someone in California and if thats the case then the "Ca" would come after the normal end of the address which would be something like - .net or .com.

if you have a subscription with netscape or a subscription to an ISP that uses netscape, you can use the CD software installer that came with your package or you can request a copy of the installer from your ISP...
