Question about Omega Trane Furnace Draft Inducer Blower 115 Volt Variable Speed Fasco # A190

Trane XE90 both ac unit and the furnace kick on at the same time

I have a XE90 trane, installed in 1995 and noticed this winter that the ac unit was kicking on everytime the furnace did. I unhooked the ac at the time and now need to hook this back up and want to verify the wiring schematics. This could have been happening all along and I never noticed. I hooked the ac back up the same way I thought that it was but now the furnace is kicking on with the ac and that did not happen last year. the product listed below is not the problem but I could not find my model number on the list

Brand New 2 weeks old 4 ton Trane compressor leaks a lot of water onto pad

If the unit is running in cold weather than there is ice building up on the coils located outside. This is normal in that the unit is running in heat pump mode heating inside and cooling outside, After the unit detects the ice build up it briefly reverses the cycle heating the outside coils melting(defrosting) the ice which you observe as water on the pad.

The video gives you an example of the defrost cycle!

New A/C Unit makes loud noise when it starts up

It shouldn't be too loud. You don't explain where the noise is coming from? The air handler/furnace or the outdoor unit.

How can I make the ac quieter inside the house?

If you have hard ducts, you can use some flex duct between the supply plenum and the hard ducts as a way to quiet the noise down.

I had my original "low"

Hello there, Usually the flue size is determined by the BTU which is generated by the unit. Considering that your unit produces between 35,000 and 40,000 BTU per hour the 2" Flue is okay. Although if you can replace it a 3" will do the job better but the 2" will not cause any harm if left in place as the quantity of BTU generated is equivalent to 2" of flue.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

Loud AC unit outside trane high efficiency xb1000

The noise could be the fan trying to pull air through the condensor. Service cleaning should improve cooling and lower noise level.

OK. Here is a Trane Weathertron BAYSTAT240 thermostat wiring picture. This heat pump w/ electric (emergency) heaters is running right now. Notice the G terminal has green wire, the R terminal has red wire, the white wire is jumpered from W to X2, etc. The black wire loop you see in the center hole is unconnected.

This unit is adjusted by leveling the base - loosen the screw to the left of "R" and the one to the right of "F". Twist the base clockwise to RAISE the indicator. This makes the mercury in the switch turn ON at a different temperature. Remember to tighten those 2 screws again.

You will have to experiment several times to make the unit read exactly right. If the tech installed the base exactly level, the unit would read right (it says here).
