Question about Miele 36 in. KM342 Gas Cooktop
lhs burner - problem is probably thermo-couple. this is a safety device which prevents gas escape if flame blows out. rhs burner - you do not say if it can be lit by a match. if so then it is a problem with the electrode or the wire to it chaffed thro. if can't be lit by a match, then a problem with the gas valve which is unusual not a diy fix unless you are experienced

SOURCE: burner will not stay lit
Presuming the flame is touching the thermocouple, try putting slightly more pressure on the knob and hold for a few seconds longer. If this doesn't work try going through the same process with the knob removed - if this works you need to put a small piece of packing in the shaft of the knob ( a small piece paper might do). If this fails you need a new thermocouple.

SOURCE: Blower Motor cycles on & off
whats happening is thje heat exchanger is cooling off and cycling the fan off this is a normal occurance whenever the unit is first turned on.

Probably a bad solenoid in the gas valve. Higher voltage of a new thermocouple keeps it open longer but it still fails over a period of time. Look into a new gas valve for the water heater.
