Sounds like a wheel bearing noise. if you turn left hard does the noise go away or get better? if you do the opposite is it worse?
when jacked up does the wheel have up and down play.
Try to look under vehicle at the lower control arms . When you brake or accelerate the weight of the vehicle goes back and forth . Therefore the bushings wear out . GM does not want a recall , so you have to purchase new bushings . Although , you are better off replacing the entire control are with the new ball joint pressed in already . The price is right too . I dont really notice a difference while turning. I will say that while braking the tire moves more than it should in my opinion. I had it in the air and did not really notice any up and down play. I appreciate the suggestion though..
