Question about Microwave Ovens

Microwave cooking center

I purchased an oven microwave combination second hand
it has an instruction booklet that describes a temperature probe for microwave oven only. This was not in the oven and I was wondering if I could obtain one. If so where?

I have a probe without an oven - the probe is unused, says "sharp" on it and it says SD51F-1 - it's a pointy thing with a phone jack (no, not a telephone jack, the kind of thing used with electric guitars that used to be called a 1/4 inch phone jack) on one end - I'd like to get it to a good home - if you are interested in it, go to my web page, www.wbnoble.com, find my email and drop me a note - sorry for the obscure way to find me, but it's the only way I know to keep the spam generators at bay.

Try visiting the manuf. Web Site. IF it is a major manufacturer, they normally will supply parts for their products. You didn't supply the make of your Microwave, so I am afraid I could not look into it any further for you. Good Luck!

My microwave want cook

Hello

and/or circuit breakers, particularly in the case of recent power failure, and reset if necessary.

Unplug the microwave, wait 30 seconds and plug back in to the power supply to reset the microcomputer.

Open and close the microwave door firmly and press "Stop/Reset." Select a new cook time and press "Start."

Ensure a proper cooking temperature and/or time is chosen, as low cooking temperatures or short cooking times may prevent the microwave from heating food appropriately. Press "Power Level" to ensure the microwave is cooking at 100 percent power.

Contact an authorized service technician if the problem is still unresolved.

How long does it take to cook brown rice in the steamer?

To cook brown rice takes about twice as long at white rice. Usually there are microwave instructions on the rice package.
If the instructions specify a certain power, like 1000W, you
can look on the back of your microwave or in the instruction
booklet to see what yours is.
Good luck,

Question: Can the Tastiwave oven be used?

I don't own one but per the TastiWave Quick Start Guide (which can be downloaded as a PDF document), The wattage must not exceed 1300 Watts. In the Instruction manual and quick cook recipe guide (also a downloadable PDF document) it states that:
"The recipes in this booklet have been written for an 1100 Watt microwave oven. Please adjust your “cook times” accordingly. Microwave must have a revolving turntable and the interior
must measure at least 14” wide x 14” deep x 7 3/4” high".
I hope this answers your question ;-)

I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN GE 'S HELP WHERE THEY WANT TO CHARGE 9.99 DOLLARS FOR HELP ON MY MICROWAVE WHICH IS OUT OF WARRANTY. IT IS ALMOST 2 YEARS OLD

Hi AGAIN DIBARTRK

Now that you have indicated the make of your oven....... the fault codes for GE microwaves are as follows. I have given you all of them for you future reference. :)

F1 - ( open thermal sensor ), will occur below 190F of cavity temperature within 15 minutes of starting convection, combination or roast cook.
F2 - ( shorted thermal sensor ), will occur if a shorted thermal sensor is detected continuously over 5 seconds on convection, combination or roast cooking.
Note: it will take a minimum of 5 minutes of convection run time before F1 or F2 code will be displayed if the thermal sensor is shorted/open.
F3 - ( shorted key panel ), will occur if a shorted key panel is detected continuously over 60 seconds.
Note: It will take a minimum of 1 minute of run time before the F code will be displayed.
F4 ( open humidity sensor ), will occur if humidity sensor is detected as being open continuously over 5 seconds.
F5 - ( shorted humidity sensor ), will occur if humidity sensor is detected as being shorted continuously over 5 seconds.
Note: It will will take a minimum of 15 seconds after the magnetron is energized before the F4 or F5 code will be displayed if the humidity sensor is shorted/open. Also the unit must be plugged into a 120 volt outlet for at least 5 minutes before sensor is checked, this also applies after the humidity sensor has been changed. Before checking operation of new sensor allow init to be plugged in for at least 5 minutes.
F6 - ( shorted temperature probe ), will occur if temperature probe is detected as being open or not plugged into the receptacle. If probe is plugged in and "ProbE" is on display, check probe for continuity with ohm meter.

they are all different for different brands... It is much easier to get a solution from FixYa you actually tell us what sort of equipment you are having trouble with. :) Do I get a FixYa rating now... :)

robotek

This code means you have a bad temperature sensor or thermal fuse, or a fault in the wiring harness to or from one of them.
