Question about JBL CREATURE II Computer Speakers

No sound in left speaker

So, the basic problem is that I only have sound in the right (main) speaker.

(btw, running mac osx5 Leopard on a mac pro intel core duo)

What I've already tried:
- the balance on my system preferences
- updating the PRAM
- unplugging everything and plugging it all back in
- tested headphones which work fine

I have also checked all the connecting cables and everything appears normal. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this?

Only getting sound from one speaker at a time

The adapter is probably a mono adapter. The jack plug should have three parts (two rings and a tip). Stereo requires 3 connections, one ground, one for left spkr, one for right spkr.

Do s-150 usb digital speakers work for mac?

Hi, I had this problem too but thankfully I figured it out after a investigating a few settings. I was very frustrated because the light came on and the buttons would manipulate my MacBook Pro and MacBook sound, but nothing came out of the speakers. Solution:1.) Click on System Preferences, 2.) Choose "Sound", 3.) Select the "Output" button in the middle of the top bar, 4.) in the selectable menu, choose USB (of course your speakers must be plugged in for this to show). Tada! You can even balance the Left and Right speakers in this menu. Hope that works for you too!

Is there an adapter for Apple Pro Speakers M6531 for an Apple Mac Pro computer?

The only thing I have found that will work with these speakers is called the Griffin iFire. It use a firewire port on your mac to power the speakers and has a normal mini plug on the end of it. However, saying this they are not readily available you may be able to pick them up on ebay or another auction site at some point. An review of the iFire can be found at

I purchased a new desktop PC with Windows 7, & I'm trying to find out what the correct connection is for the Logitech X-530 Speakers is. That is, can I get all the 5 speakers to work at the same time?

It depends on the sound-card in the PC.

The "back-left" and "back-right" speakers require special connections to the sound-card.
The "left" and "right" and "centre" speakers are connected to the "main-stereo-audio-out" on the sound-card, as per normal.

JBL Creature 2.1 Left Speaker not working

Too late to resolve the original poster's worries, I can assume, but I arrived here when searching on account of the same problem and resolved it. This is going to sound implausibly condescending, I'm afraid (and excuse th elack of technical terminology!)...

I couldn't get my left speaker to work exactly as above, but then looked carefully at the shape of the respective cables leading to the sub. You have to fit the triangle shape of the lead into the triangular shape of the hole. The speaker CAN be connected what *feels* like correctly, but is in fact connected incorrectly (ie, not all the way in).

This is more a problem with the left speaker than the right since it's a triangle and the right is a square, and can be a little fiddly.

Anyone else experiencing the same problem should probably take a quick moment just to check this isn't it! :)

hello there!!!
First things First !
1) Check power cord if is broken
2) If not power on Green Led or Red, then Speakers are dead.
3) Bad board or resistor in the sub board.
4) RMS speakers if got warranty.
Good Luck!
