Pioneer PDP42mve1 No Power

TV has always been conected to power supply and one day just would not come on! Opened up to change fuse which is inside and changed with the required 8A 250v fuse. Still no good but one of the resisters 4.7ohm lit up when I connected the power supply even though the power switch was off!!!!

Re: Pioneer PDP42mve1 No Power

The resistor is a low ohm, probably in the smps, and the fact that it heated up was probably due to a short in the regulator. This is one you'll need to have serviced because of all the equipment you'll need to trace and diagnose the problem..

Model led42c45rq. Why won't it turn on?

An internal fuse may have opened or there could have been spontaneous power supply failure.

No power at all

Check the capacitors in the power supply, check for any bulged tops. Your problem is most likely power supply related.

My fuse blew in my Samsung 53" Plasma TV. I changed it, but it's blown again? What should I do next?

The fuse blown because theres a short circuit connection in the PCB power supply of your television. Please check the power supply inside, remove the back cover to see the power supply section.unplug first to avoid electric shock. Will you check the bridge type diode first. If the bridge type diode or diodes is shorted the fuse is always blown.Using digital tester check diodes, regulator transistor, and other transistor around the power supply.

My t.v wont turn on?

Try plugging in another wall outlet but use a surge protector when doing so. If still no power then may be a main fuse inside the TV that has opened. If the fuse is good and still no power then there's a OVP problem on the power supply board. The TV is in resolve this will require replacing the power supply board or fixing it. It could also be the power supply sensing a problem from another circuit and shutting its self down. This is an Olevia TV the manufacturer has shut its doors 2 years ago and no longer in existence. If you have any questions contact me :-)

I don't have any power to the t.v. even though it's pluged in to the outlet. It's a emerson model EWL20S5B?

Small TVs like this almost always are made up of two boards inside - a power board and a main TV board.

And almost always there's a fuse on the power board, near where the power cord goes in.

Checking that fuse is the only thing you can do by yourself.

Your next option is to give the TV in for repair to someone who fixes such things. Chances are high the problem is in the power supply board and is repairable.

However, the cost for doing so can be prohibitedly high as cost of the TV itself is prohibitedly low. I mean you may be better off selling it on eBay for $50 and buying a new one.

I know I'd buy it for $50 there.

Emerson tv lost the ability to power on after a storm

I would probably look at the internal fuse that protects the power supply inside the tv. The storm probably sent a power surge through your outlet, your breaker may not always work correctly, especially if the breaker is old. The fuse should be inline with the hot side of the AC power to the power supply circuit. You would have to open up the tv, but you would be able to spot the fuse very easily. Fuses are cheap, but getting to it may be a problem

I'm not receving any power to my PDP 502 MX and I read that this is due to a power supply failure with our particular models. You might want to contact Pioneer.

Hope they can help. Unfortunately for me, I live 3 hours away from a certified technician.
