It is an easy fix. You need to get the drum out to replace the part. A small bearing in the rear.

Why washing machine squeaks when in wash cycle

Hello friend, thank you for your inquiry!

Based off the information you have provided you are hearing a squeaking noise during the wash rinse cycle on your Frigidaire washer. You could be hearing the noise from your motor during that operation, this is normal. Additionally, if you feel that this is noise an issue I would contact a professional to come out and diagnose your appliance properly. -Matt

Squeaks from drum area during operation

Hi there!

I think it is the drum main bearing that has started to sieze.

If it is not this, then the drive belt may need replacement.

If this leads to a solution, please take a moment to accept. Thank you.

Dryer is squealing during the first few minutes its on then the noise stops. Is it the glides?

Depending on the dryer you either have a central rear ball bearing and glide pads in the front or you have 2-4 rollers supporting the drum. Any of these can squeak. Also the belt tensioner can occasionally squeak.

GE Gas Dryer DBSR453GB1WW began squeaking during the most recent drying cycle. We should we try to repair ourselves or get a repair tech?

The squeaking noise is most likely emitting from the drum bearing (key#543). In order to access and replace the drum bearing will require removing the drum. The drum bearing/sleeve is part# WE1M462. I added the instructions on how to remove the drum in the images below. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing the dryer.

My ge profile dpsf495ew dryer is make a squeaking noise

It's the drum bearing . It's in the back of the drum but it can only be accessed from the front. It's regular wear and tear that causes this usually. It's a pretty tough job for someone that has not done it before.

My dryer had a high pitch squeak during operation for a while then suddenly seized and will no longer rotate.

there are really 3 items that could be causing your noise.
the most likely cause is you drive motor, it can get a worn bearing and make the noise, then when it becomes really bad, it just wont turn anymore.
also you could have a worn bearing in the idler pulley or drum support, but these usually wont stop the unit from running.
a new motor could cost about 150 bucks, idler 20 supports 25 each@2.

Very loud rumbling noise during spinning

Most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary. This will solve your problem.
