I have previously had this camera working--and uploading saved files to a network location. Now, for some reason, no matter how I set it up, it will not connect to any network location using the Upload video to Network share folder options. I've tried anonymous/account, I've tried several different drives and computers. Ex: \\Weblaptop\ext_storage\dlink where Weblaptop is the computer, ext_storage is the drive, dlink the folder. Have tried with and without trailing slashes, various permutations of upper/lower case.

will need administrator rights to your PC. If you do not have these
rights, please consult with your network administrator or your parents
(assuming that an adolescent may read this post)
2. Go online
and search for the file CS630-XP.exe and then download it (if you don't have the install the disk. If you have the disk, proceed to step 3 but browse your disk for the setup.exe file and follow the program compatibility from there). I would
share this file but copyright to Intel and Microsoft's Terms for posting
on Windows Live forbid it, so you will have to search out the file.
3. Once the file is downloaded, Extract the files then
view the folder. Open up Control Panel, Programs, and go through the
program compatibility steps to set the program to run as if your OS was
still Windows XP SP3. Then, go back to where you downloaded the install
file then right mouse click on the file and click "Run As
4. Once the program completes, connect your
Camera by plugging in the USB Cable into your PC.
5. If the
"AutoPlay" Options do not appear, you will need a third-party program
to retrieve your photos from your camera. I recommend Google's Picasa
to handle this task. Go to Google and download Picasa,
retrieve Pictures from Camera using Picasa:
1. Click Import 2.
Click on the drop down menu till you see your device (e,g, Intel(r) PC
Camera CS630 Image Storage) 3. You will then see all the photos
stored on the camera 4. Select the ones you want then the rest is
easy. Select where to import them to and then import!
From time to time you may need to clear your
camera's memory to make room for new photos. The only way to do this is
through your OS (assuming you may not be running Windows). Go to
Control Panel and in the search box on the top right type in "camera".
Click the first button which says "View scanners and cameras". You
should then see your device listed. Click on it then click Properties.
Click the Camera Memory Tab then click Clear Camera Memory. Once
cleared, click OK.
Probably has corrupt driver.
Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall
the software program. When the program asks you to connect the
camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud
you have to create seperate photo albums and folder names. the the camera labels your pictures 1 2 3 and so on. so when those numbers come up again they are overwritten with the new info. so to avoid this...create one folder.(main)... then open that folder and create a new (sub)folders within the main folder for every download hopefully 10 or so more pictures at a time per sub folder....name the sub filders according to the content or, the current date which they were downloaded. what works well with myspace is photobucket.com your personal picture storage online for free. but til then the simple way is to keep this main folder in my pictures...most sites assume your pics are already there. it is the default directory with your msp,s(myspace pik's) ready to upload.
if you take a picture from your camera..in the upper left side, you will see the "File", click that file then save to any folder you want=.)...or right click your camera to explore your camera, then, on your left side you will a dialog box, click the "take new picture.. and then shot of your pic. is in the bottom, right click that pic. and then save to any folder you want.
Right wat ya gotta do is.. take ya photo(s).. then using your Software & Data Transfer Cable, usually USB, you then download the photos from ya camera to your PC's hard Drive, & then usually ya must convert the Photos to a smaller more suitable size.. However most sites explain how big the files should be... and how to "Upload" them to their site.
To perform these actions one must install the camera's Data Transfer Software & Drivers, that came with the camera. OR locate and download the Drivers from the manufacturers web site.
Install the software then reboot, THEN plug in ya USB cable connected to the camera, and then turn on.. it should be "Detected" and it may ask for "Drivers" if so, simply point it in the direction of the Driver Files, usually on ya CD. After the software and drivers are installed, you can manipulate the files as ya wish.
Then you are ready to start using the Uploading Software, from the site required, like say Ebay etc.
This software will ask you for the "Location" of the Photo(s) ya point it to the Photo's location and the Uploading Software will do it all for you from there on...
The link below is for a Photo resizer, that may come in handy.. just download & install.
hope that helped...
