Refrigerator not cold . Motor keeps clicking on but not staying on. Don't know anything more about trhe Fridge because it was part of the house when we moved almost 3 years ago.
Sounds like it is cycling on overload. Condenser coils (may be on back, or under bottom of fridge) may need cleaning. If coils are under bottom, it could be the condenser fan not working, causing it (compressor) to overload. Possibly compressor start relay bad. Worse case, compressor may be bad. If you don't know much about electrical stuff (compressor, relay, etc...) you should have a repair tech check it for you. If coils are dirty, clean them with a vac and coil brush (gently). You can get coil brushes at most hardware stores (Lowes, Home Dep, Ace, etc...) Hope this helps.

Hi,
Many times a freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other things that can go wrong.
If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out the last two tips.

Thanks so much! When I saw oil on floor decided to buy a new one. At least I will know how old it is!
