Refrigerator not cold . Motor keeps clicking on

I would suggest you check the seal and the hinge. This frig has a piece that folds in and out flush for the two doors to seal, you might check that as well.

Larger=colder. Make sure that 1) your magnetic strip around the fridge door is sealing well. Even a small leaking area could make it difficult to keep cold, especially in warmer areas. Also, make sure there is nothing obstructing the door from closing completely and sealing properly. I had this same issue where one of the door shelves was unlatched a little and the door would close but not seal. Beyond that could be motor or more likely compressor or coolant leak. Good luck.

We had our system Kenmore Elite not keeping the freezer cool or the refrigerator. I pulled out the unit and cleaned the condenser coils. This solved our issues, hope this helps.

if the freezer is getting cold the problem is due to the cold air from the freezer not getting into the refrigerator. There are several things that can cause this problem. The coils in the freezer icing up and not defrosting properly is one of the things that can cause the refrigerator not to get cold enough. Another problem is the fan that blows the cold air from the freezer compartment into the refrigerator, not working. When the compressor is running open the refrigerator's door and push the switch that makes the light go out. You should hear the fan blowing the cold air from the freezer into the refrigerator, when this switch is pushed in. If the fan is working then you will need to find what is blocking the air flow. Iced up coils are a common problem. The icing problem can be due to a defective defrost timer or something defective in the defrost circuit. Click here for more information. your relay and overload on side of compressor is bad.you can replace with original parts or a 3-n-1 hard to start.

Sounds like a defrost problem. Check to see if there is any frost buildup in the back wall of the freezer. If so, it is not defrosting as it should.

• possible causes:

1. bad defrost timer
2. bad defrost heater (in freezer)
3. bad thermo switch in freezer

If you don’t know what these are then unplug the machine and let the ice melt in the freezer overnight with the door open. Then try it the next day, if is cooling fine then you need to have a service person replace one of the above items.
