How can I change the font on my aol emails received? It just changed all by itself.

it would actually depend on how you access/view your e-mails. if you are using AOL.COM, holding down the CTRL key and using the mouse scroll wheel up or down will increase or decrease the size of the fonts. Take note though that it will also affect all other web pages you will view. Another thing to check if the front settings on the browser program you are using either internet explorer, firefox, chrome . Check the internet options/browser settings and look through the content section and see if you will find an option to adjust the size even the font type settings. After doing so, clear temporary internet files and close then re-open your browser to make sure the changes made will reflect. if in case you are using AOL's software, check through its own settings/preferences for fonts.

The font size is usually controlled by the properties of the page you are trying to print. Try increasing the size of the font on the file.

Adjust text size in web browser

If your are using Internet Explorer 9 then you can adjust the browser text size by clicking on View then Text size in the Menu bar.

If you don't see the Menu bar, then right-click your mouse on the top of the browser window (above the page tabs) and you will see a drop-down menu open - select Menu bar from this menu list and this will open under the address bar box.

For Google Chrome you would click on the Spanner icon near the top right corner of the browser, then use the Zoom controls to increase or decrease the magnification of the web page content. You can also use View and Zoom in IE9 if you prefer.

There will be similar controls / options in other web browsers.

How can I increase the font in AOL (Firefox), which changed with an update?

For the earlier versions of Firefox, here are the instructions on how to increase your font size:

1)Click on View on the browser Menu Bar.
2)Highlight Text Size with your mouse and notice that you now have 3 choices that will allow you to increase or decrease text size.
3)Increase or Decrease your font size and you will see a change in text size on this web page. You can also hold down <CTRL> and type "+" or "-" to change the font size.
4)Select Normal or <CTRL> and "0" to return to the default text size.

For Firefox Version 4.0

There are 2 ways on how to change the font size of the page that you are viewing.

FIRST OPTION: Changing Font size through the TOOLS Menu:

1)Click on "Tools" on the browser Menu Bar, then click "Options".
2)You will be getting the Options Window Menu to change the settings of Firefox. In this case, since we would want to change the font size, you would need to click on the "Content" tab.
3)On the Content Tab Menu, under "Fonts & Color", you can change the size to whichever size you want.
4)After changing the size, click on the OK button and it should save the changes right away.

SECOND OPTION: Changing Font Size through the VIEW menu:

1)Click on "View" on the browser Menu Bar, then click "Zoom". (There should be a side option that will appear after you highlight Zoom.) Select or put a tick on "Zoom text only".
2)Click on "View" on the browser Menu Bar again, then click "Zoom". (There should be a side option that will appear after you highlight Zoom). This time, you can click on "Zoom In" or "Zoom Out" to play with the desired font size that you want on your browser page.

That simple! I hope this information helps you and if it does, please do not forget to rate me.

I wauld like to make the lettering larger and add this to my toolbar. The lettering is so small i am getting eye strain!!!

If you mean you want to see the text in your internet browser larger, then in Internet Explorer explorer left-click 'View' (in toolbar next to 'Edit') and then slide down to text size and select larger or largest. In Firefox, select Tools, then Options, then Conten (third tab on top), then change the font size by selecting a larger number from the drop-down menu that currently should be shoung a number across from the font type (like Times New Roman). Sorry I can't increase the size of this text for you to read this solution.

P.S. Both I.E and Firefox have zoom functions under 'View' to temporarily zoom in or out on text and images.
