It could be a clogged bit of dust. Check the main hose, remove it by unlocking at the top and check the whole assembly including the pull out wand part. Then check the underside. Either inspect using the trapdoor or remove the beater bar and see if there is any clogged dirt behind that. Sometimes dust can get clogged around the neck of the floor head. If you unlock the body of the X from the floor head (button release is just below the main bin) check the main dust channel before it meets the wand. Sometimes it can be clogged with dust there.
Usually if the filters are black they can be cleaned with the exception of the foam motor filter on top of the hood. Cost replacements are usually easy to find online or on EBay.

I have a Windsor Sensor s12 and power shuts off after 5 min. of vacuuming. I'm wondering if it's overheating of if there is some other sensor that causes it to shut off.

Your Sensor most likely has an internal heat sensor that is shutting off the motor. Some vacuums install an external heat sensor with a reset button that you must push to re-start the vacuum. If your model does not have an external reset button it is most likely a sensor inside the motor. If it is defective the motor must be replaced to solve the problem. But first make sure the overheating is not being caused by a blockage somewhere or the bag is too full. Air must pass completely through a vacuum starting at the floor where it picks up the dirt through all the canisters, filters, bags, etc. and then is exhausted from the vacuum. Any restrictions or blockage can cause the motor to over heat.

Eureka Rally 2 had great suction the first two times I used it and now faint. No blockage and new bag and clean filter. What coud it be?

The dust bag holder is an important part of this vacuum. Make sure the bag is installed into the holder sliding bag collar into slots to secure.
Make sure the bag is tucked into cleaner. or the bag cover will not latch securely.
Also, the motor and exhaust filters should be cleaned at each bag replacement.
REPLACING THE FILTERS
Filters should be cleaned or replaced when they become visibly soiled or suction power is reduced. Always operate the cleaner with the filters installed to avoid motor damage. The dust bag must be changed and the filters cleaned or replaced if the window of the Clean Filter Indicator changes into red when the cleaner is operating at maximum power and the nozzle is raised from the floor.

I have a 9068G and when I plug into the electrical outlet and press the "on" lever, I get nothing. The machine actually quit one time while I was vacuuming. Is there a fuse problem or a reset button? ...

There is no reset button or fuse, yo have a clog / reduced air flow, causing the motor to over heat and turn off. First change the bag, then remove the wands and carpet tool from the vacuum. See if the machine turns on. If not the main motor will need to be replaced. If it turns on and you have suction, check the wands or carpet tool for a clog.

Hoover vacuum cleaner indicators stuck

the sensor is located in the tube that the bag mounts to, if you take the bag off of the unit and have an air compressor handy you can blow out the port hole this should dislodge the particulates that are causing the false reading, there is defintely a clog in the system. let me know if this helps thanks Don the Vacuum Doctor Alb, N.M.

Sebo x1.1 fitted with new bag and filter but red bag check light still comes on and then machine shuts off. Any ideas how to remedy?

Without doubt this indicates that there's a blockage somewhere. The two easiest places to look are: 1. on the underside of the machine there's an inspection flap - check in there; 2. remove the flexible hose completely from the machine at both ends - check in the hose itself, and where it enters the machine near the handle .  The only other place to look is where the base connects to the bag compartment - to check there, you need to separate those two parts by pressing the button at bottom front of bag compartment and pulling the base away (this can be difficult - four hands would be useful - but once you're pressing that button, nothing else other than friction is holding the parts together). Once the parts are separated, check every orifice you can see (the parts just push back together again).
I think that covers it.  Good luck, and please remember to rate this response.
