Question about Dishwashers
I dont know what model you have; however, my GE dishwasher (GSD5911) had the same issue. I discovered that there is a flow valve located inside the unit under the screen at the back. If you remove the screen, somewhere centerish there is a valve that you can screw out with your hand. It has a rubber piece in it that wears out. I was able to take the part to a local appliance parts store and picked up a new piece for $17CDN. Replaced the part and the dishwasher drains properly.
