Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

My old camera was an Olympus Camedia c-765 digital. My new one is an Olypmus SP-800UZ 14 megapixel. The more I use the SP-8OOuz the more disappointed with the pictures I take. None of them seem sharply in...

No, you are not wrong. When there are more pixels, the picture must be more clearly and you can zoom it more. Because you have experience with another Olympus camera, I'm inclined to believe that
something is wrong with your new camera. Try to put it on AUTO mode and see the difference. If everything will be ok, it means that you are wrong when you set the manual parameters.

I have a JVC GZ-HD300 Hard disc video camera and when using Everio Mediabrowser which comes with the camera download to convert my videos the conversion leaves the finished video blurred

Hi.

If the original footage was sharp, that means that you are probably using wrong compression parameter or format on Everio, while doing conversion.

If the source movie was blurred instead, try using the Advanced Image Stabilisation option, usually available in new JVC HD camcorder menu.

Everio has different quality settings. Each time you increase compression you lower quality.

Also ensure that the camera was not in a low definition setting.

Regards.

Ginko.

My external frequency is set wrong and should like to know what it is.Its an asus p4s8x-x hope you can help thank you

The Asus P4S8X-X has C.P.R.

CPU Parameter Recall

(Central Processing Unit, or Processor)

Restart the computer, and BIOS will set the CPU parameters back to the factory default settings.

Internal frequency rate times the multiplier = external frequency rate.

The Asus P4S8X-X uses Intel processors (Socket 478) that have either a 400Megahertz Front Side Bus, or a 533MHz FSB.

Since you did not state what socket 478 Intel processor you have installed, I cannot tell you what the external frequency rate is supposed to be.
(At maximum operating capacity)

Have you installed a different Processor?
Were you trying to overclock?
What led up to this?

I cannot download photos from my sony cyershot digital camera onto my computer. It has done so in the past without any problem, but when I now try I get a message saying incorrect parameters. Can you help...

Hi Jacki:

Please unplug your camera from PC.
2- Go to ADD/REMOVE software and remove all software you installed related to your Sony Cyber-Shot.
3- Use the CD which came with your camera and install the drivers for your camera.
4- Connect your Camera to your PC.
5- Turn on the camera, The drivers for your camera would be installed automatically.

After it is finished installing, you would be able to download, delete or view your stored pictures on your PC.
