BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI compliant

Not likely you can replace the BIOS to become ACPI compliant with any economy. Live with it or replace your computer.

Hard to giver any further assistance since all you give is the make of the computer. Still, the BIOS is integral to the motherboard ... if you replace the motherboard ... you might as well replace the computer.

How to format my acer 5620 without cd ?

Unless you have a cd for that version of windows in OEM style for xp and any for vista you will be out of luck. If you have another computer with the same OS and have its operating system installation cd, you can use this if it is the same version.

Windows XP needs to be exactly the same thing. Windows XP pro, home and media center are all different. So are Retail, Upgrade and OEM cds. For vista or 7 any disc will work that matches the version type, it will determine the version by the COA.

If you do not have access to any cd/dvds then you can contact Acer for a replacement. www.acer.com

My acer aspire 1670 cannot be turned on immediately after it is shut down. It takes about 30 minutes before it can be turned on again.

this may be due to heat issue ot it may be a ACPI driver issue
go to device manager and uninstall the ACPI power button under system devices as well as the ACPI driver under computer
reboot the system and reinstall the chipset driver and reboot the system

I FORMATED MY ACER EXTENSA 4620Z, I HAVE NO RECOVERY CD, HOW CAN I GET MY DRIVERS AND SOFTWARES BACK AND WORKING PROPERLY

If you formatted your computer then all the information is erased, you will have to go to the Acer website and download any drives that are for your computer, as far as the programs, you will need to reinstall all the programs you lost, or want back on the computer.

Standby function doesn't work

The stand by button is greyed out when A) your computer is too old to support the
Advanced Control Power Interface (ACPI) or B) ACPI is not configured properly.
Start->Control Panel->System->Hardware tab->Device Manager button. Do any of the
items have a red 'X' or a yellow '!' beside them?

Install Xp on Acer Asprie 5735z

I'd reccomend backing up data and formatting your hard drive. Then install XP from disk and put data back on hard drive. You could use external hard drive or jumpdrive. It stands to reason that SATA works with XP, because the new computers I have seen have SATA and XP working conflict-free.

Mother Board CD for ACER Travelmate 240

Unfortunately the Travelmate doesn't come with any other way to format the computer to factory settings. However you do have 2 options. The first is to contact Acer who still provide OS discs for your laptop (They will charge you $49.95 including shipping). The second is to use a free Operating System such as Linux. I recommend Ubuntu www.ubuntu.org as it is very easy to use, has a great community support group and you can try by using a Live CD before formatting.
