I need the manual for a Rinnai Infinity 26 hot water system

We have recently bought a house with a Rinnai Infinity 26 hot water service. Our water often takes a long time to heat up, and then it goes cold and back to hot (usually while showering!). We have key pad temperature controls in the kitchen and bathroom.

most of the time this is caused by a water saver in the shower head, depending on which rinnai you have they will a minimun flow rate, so if the shower outlet is lower the the rinnai tank, the unit water temp will flu

You can get it off the rinnai web site they have a spot on there to get the internet manuel,, but from what you are saying you may need to adjust the thermostat, or the temp, remember even though you will have endless hot water it still takes the smae amount of timed for the hot water to get to your faucet,, not only that make sure your shower heads aren't holding back to much water pressure, if you don't have enough water going thru the unit it will not stay lit, if will come on and go off, judt to dstisfy the unit,, make sure the filter is clear, on the cold side there is a cap screw if you take it off there is a screen in side you just pull it out and clean it and reinstal it,,

Check that your shower head does not have any water savers, as i have found this a common problem with rinai as water savrs cut the flow right down. To remove just screw shower rose from wall & you should set water saver in the incomming end of shower rose

How to manually reignite rinnai infinity 26

what i would recommend is to turn power off to unit, turn water off, now open a hot tap inside. Go back to hw unit , turn power back on, now turn HW cold water tap to open. Now you should hear the unit start up.& click continuosly, this is the unit trying to lite. The unit has a flow sensor so as water passes threw it ,that tells unit when to lite. If you hear nothing & no water comming threw you strainer located above cold shut off tap is blocked, unscrew black knob & check. If you have flow & no HW check your gas, usally by losening gas union, there is also filter above this. Also plug another power tool into power point to check you have power

I need a service manual for a Rinnai Infinity 26 continuous flow hotwater system - REU-VR2626WG-AK Can you help me? Linda

I left Rinnai only about a year ago at a levle of State Service Manager. I had been asking for service manual for for many, many months. Basically as far as I am aware there is not a service manual for the WG. If you google Rinnai Infinity 26 manual you can get a PDF from the Rinnai NZ sales site but his dates baack to 2003. Unfortunately there are major changes to some of the components but it might be better than nothing. Just don't use part numbers, and you might find bits to check that now have voltage and resistance differences. Send a message to Rinnai complaining, I encouraged people to do so even when I worked for them!

How to operate Rinnai V1500 water heater?

The V1500 is in essence the same as Infinity 26. Rinnai have manuals on their website.

Here's a link

If you have any specific problems or queries just post them on this site. I check it every few days.

Rinnai Infinity 26 hot water system set to 55 degrees with remote temp adjuster. Water only luke warm for showers. Burnner working, water & gas pressure ok. Any thoughts ... Stephen

If you aren't getting any error codes, then the heater is probably doing its job. Your problem is probably somewhere in your plumbing system. The most common reason you get this sort of problem is due to cold water mixing in the hot water system. There are a number of causes for a "cross connection" :

-Faulty check valve
-Missing check valve on reciculation return line
-Faulty shower cartridge
-Thermostatic mixing valve set too low
-Faulty thermostatic mixing valve
-Faulty anti-scald valve

The easiest way to confirm a cross connection is to: 1) shutoff the cold water entering the tankless heater 2) open hot water valves around the house. If you still have water flowing at your hot water fixtures, then you have a cross connection.

My Rinnai 26 sometimes takes 10 minutes to start

This is not an uncommon problem. You may notice this problem particularly if you haven't used hot water for a period of time. The hot water heater is probably working, but there is quite a bit of water that has to clear out of the lines before the hot from the heater reaches your appliance. I suspect that the water heater is doing its job, and that is the assumption I am going off of for my next statement. A recirculation system will work well to eliminate your problem. Again, assuming that the hot water heater is in proper working order. I would do my research on recirculation systems before buying one. Often times you get get a relatively inexpensive unit that will do the job for you.

INSTANT HOT WATER ISN'T HOT ENOUGH.

Here are two links to get the manual for your unit. Since I don't have the model number for your unit, you can find this in one of the two links. If you have the manual, you will know if you are skipping a step or not. If you have done everything, then I would call Rinnai to find an authorized tech for your appliance. Hope this helps.
