Question about Garmin Oregon 400t Handheld GPS Receiver
Just got the 400t. The accuracy looks to be horrible (10x what it says on the sat screen). Did a track in a known location and track is consistently off by 300' due north (or due south depending on whether base map is off or coordinate collection is off). I have changed datum back and forth from NAD84 to WGS84 and no effect. There doesn't seem to be any info on the datum for the base map. Can you help?
Did you ever find out where was the problem? I just got a 400T and indeed accuracy is horrible!
