6th gen. nano has shuffle issues. plays same song over and over

The iPod's shuffle feature lets you randomize playback of albums, songs or even your entire music library. You may also find this feature useful if you want to listen to forgotten tracks in your library or discover songs you haven't listened to yet. Disabling the shuffle feature will return playback of a song list to its standard consecutive order. You can enable and disable the shuffle feature at any time.

Navigate to the main menu. Select "Settings." Scroll to the "Shuffle" option. Select "Songs" or "Albums." If you select "Songs," the iPod Classic will shuffle the songs on whatever song list you listen to. If you select "Albums," the iPod Classic will play all songs of an album you select in order and then randomly select another album. Navigate to the playlist or album to which you want to listen. Play a song to initiate the shuffle. b> iPod Nano and iPod Touch Tap the "Songs" icon on your nano home screen. If you are using an iPod Touch, open the "iPod" application. Navigate to the song list, playlist or album you want to play. Tap the "Shuffle" icon at the top of the list to activate the feature.

I have MiTone mitmp32 , bought week ago in duty free shop in Netherlands. The problem is, when i try to change the album or artist in the main music menu, it always gets back to a specific song(album) that...

I have the same problem and it irritates me like crazy. A weird thing that seems to work is when you want to switch off your mp3 player, put it on pause and let it switch itself off automatically. When you next switch it on, it will be on that same song and not some random one you listened to ages ago. Seems to work for me. Do you have any idea how to play music on shuffle by the way?

My itouch will not advance songs. I have to

Hi,
Your music playback settings need to be looked into here. Follow these steps to determine and then get rid of the problem.
1. Open a song for playing. 2. Tap on the album art or the screen.
You should see the progress bar of the song along with 3 tap icons. The one on the left is for song playback. It is either repeat off (arrows are white), repeat all (arrows are blue) and repeat 1 song (arrows are blue and '1' appears on the icon)
3. Tap once to get out of repititive listening of the same song.
Also, I am assuming that you are not listening to a playlist with 1 song in it.
happy listening.

My shaker does not play all of the loaded songs.

I had the same problem. The songs that won't play are probably MP4 files and the shaker only plays MP3 files. You need to change the file format of the songs on the shaker to MP3 files. I downloaded "Media Coder" which was free and it converted all the songs on the shaker that wouldn't play to MP3 files and they play now. Google "Media Coder" and download the free program, it is very easy to use. I had the songs converted in about 2 minutes. Make sure the shaker is plugged into computer so that you can choose the files on the shaker to convert. Hope this helps.

Mine won't play files

The songs are in the wrong format - it does not recognize iTunes songs or DRM-encrypted songs which do not have "transfer rights" (many msuic services - especially free ones but also paid ones - give you WMA's that have "play rights" -i.e. you can play them on your computer; but if they do not have transfer rights, they will show up in your player, yet not play correctly/skip).

Transfer only songs that are in Mp3 Format and you will never have this problem.

Mp3 player wont play songs or anything

Only 2 suggestions here: 1) Make sure your HOLD switch is not enabled. 2) Try to update the firmware If neither of these work, time to send the unit back to Sandisk
