try going into settings and mobile networks and change from cdma to imts or global network units try all three until you find one that works

I have an sony ericson phone with a vodafone sim it says insert correct sim card i have tried 02 sim T mobile sim and a new vodafone sim and it will still say insert correct sim ?


ya they set the default sim as your phone no. so you can goto the nearest vodafone store and get a new sim on the same number and insert the same .because the phone may be locked

Insert correct sim card


Try with another sim card, clean the sim connector of your phone, reset you phone to Factory Setting (default) using 12345. If you can open it, clean the mobile thoroughly using iPhone solution. This problem is caused by Firmware problem and Hardware problem as well.

I inserted sim1 but it still said on the home page insert sim1.


It may not have been put in correctly or there may be corrosion on the card. Make sure it is clean and inserted correctly.

If it is, make sure the SIM company matches the phone's company (AT&T, T-Mobile, etc).

The ic902 takes a special SIM card that is unique to PowerSource phones. Those phones use Sprint Voice and Data, and only Nextel walkie-talkie and will not work on Boost Mobile Phones.

you either have to do a factory reset on the phone or the previous owner of the phone (assuming there was one) has to release the phone or request a bill by calling nextel

First thing to check is to make sure that she has inserted a correct sim. If you don't know how to do this, download the manual from Palm.com. Next make sure that it is a 3G sim. I am a little ahead of myself. You did not say that the phone was a GMS phone. If it isn't, forget the sim description. Assuming it is a GSM phone and you inserted the correct sim in the sim slot, Then make sure that you have put it in the wireless mode. To do this, hold down the phone button to get the message that the phone is off. Ansewr with yes.Last thing, does the phone have the logo on the front. Be sure that the logo matches your carrier.
