My mythos grinder doesn't turn on. Can it be a fuse? We have had the grinder for 4.5 years, never had a problem. The grinder is turned off nightly. When the barista turned the grinder on today, nothing happened.

Ids77 electric coffee grinder I want replace fuse how can I open this prodact please.

see this causes and proceed:God bless you
If the grinder does not run when turned on, make sure power is on to the outlet, then check the electrical cord.
If the grinder runs intermittently or doesn't stop, the switch may be clogged or damaged. Unplug the grinder and brush any grounds from the switch with a fine brush. Depress the switch several times with a toothpick. If the problem persists, disassemble the grinder to clean it and inspect the switch for breaks that you can fix.
If the grinder does not run, the motor shaft may be frozen. Disassemble the grinder, clean the shaft and lubricate each bearing point with one or two drops of lightweight machine oil. Rotate the shaft to evenly distribute the oil.
coffeegrinder1_1.jpgMost coffee grinders are accessed by removing fasteners on the base of the device. If the grinder still does not operate, the thermal limiter may be burned out. If you can't readily find a replacement thermal limiter, it may be more cost effective to replace the grinder.
If the grinder vibrates, the blade may be bent. Inspect the blade and replace if it is damaged or dull. Another cause of vibration could be a worn motor bearing. Unplug the grinder and remove the access plate. The bearing is bad if the motor shaft moves when pushed back and forth; replace the grinder.

I have Barista grinder. I've had grinder for about 3-4 years and it stop moving. I unplugged cord, tried to turn the feeder and plugged in still not moving except timer is clicking. I wonder why it...

Hi It could be the timer switch but if you hear the timer move(whirring) it is probably OK. There is a thermal fuse on the motor that will go out and you just have to replace the thermal fuse. Its under the wrap on the side of the motor. Which grinder do you have?

I have a Bosch 1375A that I use for many diffrent small work at home. Today I was cutting ceramic with a diamond head wheel. Something I am used to do. After a cut, the grinder didn't want to power-on...

  • Check the fuze in the plug
  • Check the wall socket is working
  • Remove the motor bushings and check them for wear - motor busining should be behind plastic screws located on either side of the motor.
If there is/was a smell of burining out of the motor you may have blown it. This is usually caused by holding the air vents when using it.

Also when you try to turn it on does it make any noise at all? even a quiet buzz sound?

How do you open it up?

Hi
Remove bean hopper
Remove grounds hopper
Remove timer knob on the side
Turn the grinder upside down
There are 4 slits on the outside edge.
Insert a screw driver into the slot and pry gently outward with a
little downward pressure on the outside until the side slips a bit.
Repeat on all 4 slits and the shell should slide off.
There is a fuse on the side of the motor that will blow and stop the motor. It is a thermal fuse and should be replaced by a qualified tech.
The thermal fuse is to protect the motor its a 104C

Help....we poured some water into the bean grinder/container

Hi,

You have to take off the bean hopper, turn the ring on grinder anticlockwise to you see the claque. Take out the middle off the grinder and clean everything carefully.

After that you have to put it back again, when you have the middle off the grinder back you turn the ring clockwise to the end, after that you turn it anticlockwise 14 "tick".
