Sliding the rear view mirror onto the metal tab on the window. look at the part of the mirror that slides over the peice on the window. one end is open and has grooves on the side. you have to put the base of the mirror above the metal mount and flat against the window then slide it down over the mount. there may be a screw to hold it in place.

I want to swap my 2003 Toyota avalon drivers seat with my passenger seat. How do I do this myself?

The seats are not the same. the controls will be on the wrong sides. If you insist on doing this yourself then unplug the wire harness connectors on each seat and remove the 4 bolts holding the seat rail to the floor. There will be plastic covers on the bolts that just pop off.

HOW DO I CHANGE INSIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR PLEASE

If it is mounted on the windshield, the mirror is attached to a bracket that is glued top the glass. You will see a small set screw at the base of the bracket. Most likely an Allen screw. Loosen the screw and slide the mirror up off the bracket.

How do i install 6x9 speakers in a 1995 oldsmobile cutlass ciera?

No brackets are necessary...I believe you are talking about replacing the rear speakers located in the rear wondow shelf...Of course the speakers mount underneath the window inside the trunk...You can remove the rear seat and pull the interior trim back to view the top side of the speaker mounting...The opening is already cut for the 6X9 speaker...You can mount the top underneath the window cloth material like the factory did, or no need to remove the interior cloth if you use new top speaker covers, usually come with the speakers. Hope this helps.

How to replace Inside Rear View Mirror on 2000

Hello, to replace the rear mirror, try the following:

1. Roll the passenger side door window all the way down. Turn off the ignition and remove the keys.

2. Gently pry the window control panel from the arm rest with the pry tool or screwdriver starting at the bottom of the panel. Flip it over and unplug all the wire harness outlets from it. Set the panel aside.

3. Locate and remove the two panel door plugs near the arm rest concealing the two screws and remove the screws with the Phillips head screwdriver.

4. Remove the door panel retainer plugs along the edge of the door by pressing in the middle of the plug to unlock it and removing the plug.

5. Detach the mounting triangle from the upper inside door panel covering the side-view mirror.

6. Remove the door panel by lifting outward and then upward. Disconnect the speaker wire harness from the underside of the door panel and set the door panel aside.

7. Locate and disconnect the mirror wire harness.

8. Pull back the foam insulation from the inside panel covering the side-view mirror.

9. Unscrew the three mounting nuts from the mirror using the ratchet, extension and a socket. Do not drop the nuts into the door cavity.

10. Pry the mirror gently away from the outside of the door.

11. Install the new mirror and replace the mounting nuts on the mirror studs and tighten with the ratchet, socket, and extension. Plug the mirror wire harness back in. Replace the foam insulation. Replace the mounting triangle.

12. Replace the door panel by reversing the procedure. Start by plugging in the speaker wire first.

Toyota Avalon Rear View Mirror

Hi-,
I had the same problem - the inside rear view mirror fell off during a hot summer day. I bought the mirror glue (adhesive) and wondered how to I separate the metal button from the mirror. Enventally, I tried the following and successully separated the metal button from the mirror: There is a little squre slot on the plastic sheath of the metal button. Please find a small flat-ned screw driver whose tip can fit into the sqare hole. put the screw driver into the hole and put it all the way inside down - which will open a little bended metal piece that stops the buttom; at the mean time, slide the metal button towards outside. As the bended metal piece opened uder the pressure of the screw driver, the metal button is freely moveable and can be slide out.
I did this successfully for my Toyota Avalon 1998 car.

Hope it helps.
