I have a schaerer ambrente plus, the one shot and three shot button works, but the two shot does not. When press, it continues to grind the beans.

There is either a leak in the water inlet valve, plus worn o-rings in the brew head. These machines require a lot of ongoing maintenance. It isn't a machine I know, I have have used many commercially, but there is help here.

Think the grinding mechanism is jammed with something. Disassemble unit and look for same.

Grinder setting will not just affect extraction time, it will also affect taste. A fine grind will be slower but have a creamier look, a coarse grind will speed up delivery. From whatever setting you are on look at the result, you are after the good creamy top of a good expresso. only adjust one step at a time, and check a few cups before any more adjustment. You do not want it so slow that you have to wait ages, So go for coarsest grind with a creamy head. Overtime you might have to readjust due to wear, Select only one hopper at a time to adjust, Do not try and adjust when blending, one side at a time until both give same result and speed for same coffee, Then you can go onto blending.

The beans are hanging up in the hopper and not falling down into the grinder...... wiggle it, give the beans a push, or go to a bean that is not so sticky....

To program your Magic Dlx: Press and hold the steam and small espresso buttons at the same time, then push the energy saving button (top right). Water Hardness. The large coffee button programs the water hardness. Press the button once and you will have one light in the top row, left side. Press it again and you should have two lights lit. Press it three times and you have three lights lit. Four and you have four lights lit. Press it a fifth time and it goes back to one light. Each light represents your water hardness. So if you have a water hardness of 3, press it until you have three lights lit. Press the energy saver button to exit the program and save your hardness level in the machine’s computer. It will now tell you when you should descale your machine. Pre-infusion. Press the medium coffee button to activate and you should see the light come on. Press the button and turn the light off to deactivate the pre-infusion. Pre-grinding. Pre-grinding is turned on with the cup warming button. When it is lit, the pre-grinding is on. Press the button to turn it off.

I had this same problem with my Saeco Magic Plus and found that cleaning the burr grinder fixed the problem. Here's a link showing how that is done:

i work on schaerer machines. on the back of the lid there are two plastic spikes that make contact with in the machine, when you lift the lid it breaks contact so when you select your product you dont put your hand near the grinder. order a new lid or write back and ill tell you how to jam it open. If you want?
