Has your camera been dropped ? it sounds like that maybe with the dent, it has been dropped, and there is some damage to the lens. Does the lens freeze... and not move forward or back into the camera when you get this error?

Given the dent, I wouldn't be too hopeful. Try jiggling the lens. Use compressed air to blow out any grit around the lens barrel. If that doesn't do it, you'll need to get the camera serviced.

How fix eos 1100d error 70

I took successive shots then I encountered "Error 70". What I did was remove the mmc and the battery and let the camera cool off for 10 minutes. It worked...although I what I want is to really eradicate that Error 70 problem.

Hello, i bought a minolta 300 maxxum 300 si, with a af 35-70 lens and a sigma 70-300mm 1:4-5.6 dl macro at an estate sell and case for 50.00 bucks. First off did i get a good buy? Secondly ive always loved...

It's a pretty good deal. I personally wouldn't have gone for it, but then I don't go for Minolta gear. If it had been comparable Nikon gear I certainly would have.
First of all, if you haven't read the camera manual then download a copy and read it.

Second, go to your local public library and browse through the photography section. Most of the stuff there will be on digital photography, but they should have some introductory photography books. Things like depth of field, lighting, and composition are the same whether you're doing it digitally, on film, or on glass plates.

Third, visit your local bookstore and browse through their photography section. If you don't want to buy too many books, jot down the title and author and go back to the library. They'll probably be able to borrow the book from another library.

Most important, take pictures. Photography is like riding a bicycle. You can read about it all you want, watch other people do it, yet the only way you can learn it is to do it.

Plan on wasting rolls of film practicing in your backyard or in a park. You can save some money by not asking for any prints when you get the film processed, just scanned onto a CD so you can view them on your computer.

Samsung camera PL120 wont turn on

Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try that may (or may not) correct your problem. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try. Some of the later steps do involve some risk to the camera, so carefully weigh your options before deciding to conduct them:
And here's a video summary of the steps:

I love taking wedding photos. do you think the

Yes, I'm sure that camera will be fine, the 20D some years back was considered OK for wedding images
BUT its more about the quality of the LENS you are using and will it wok in all situations
I used to do a lot of Film work for weddings and used various canon camera bodies, but the lenses where the important factor for speed, composition - I also used a top quality flash unit, that could be used OFF camera. I used a 28mm lens, 50mm 1.8 lens - very high quality and cheaply available, 135mm portrait lens, and various zoom lens
I also always used a tripod, so i could compose the groups and then leave, the camera and go and work with setting up the group, and using a remote take the picture. I also used a flash frame on the flash, so I could turn the camera between portrait and landscape with out worrying about the flash gun

If its still under warranty take it back, if not take it to a Camera repair shop (should not cost too much).
