Question about Dometic Rooftop RV Air Conditioner

My havc is working outside and the blower is working inside

I had some problems with my heat not working properly over the winter, but I found a hole in the duct work and thought that was the problem. I just got the hole fixed and had my central air recharged but now I have no air flowing though my vents. The fan is working outside and the blower on the furnace is working. Can you please give me an idea on what to check for?
Thank you,
Kimberly

If the evaporator has ice build up over coils it will block air flow but that obviously would occur after the system has run a while.Shut the system down and allow it to thaw completey which could take some time, start it back up and see if air is passing through evap coils

the cord that gets plugged in for the winter just works the block heater and warms the engine coolant to make winter starting easier. if you can not control blower motor fan speed then you probably have a bad blower resister or blower motor, that will need to be replaced. if the fan has been wired to the block heater wiring(plug)then it has to be disconnected and put back to original. the block heater works on household voltage120 volts) and the blower motor works on 12 volts. the blower motor may be burnt out due to the excess voltage supplied to it. check fuses as it may have burnt a fuse. depending on the damage caused you may have to take it to a repair shop to have things fixed properly.

Maybe turn selector switch to off.see if every thing shuts off.if yes. turn FAN selector switch from (auto) to (on) mode.does the outside unit come on or does just the furnace blower only run ? the inside fan should be the ONLY thing on.if not, reverse the (G) & (Y) wires inside the new thermo.

Heat stuck on high heat with no blower working

Check your fuse on the side of the dash, driver side. Look to make sure the fuse has not gone bad, and replace if the fuse to your HAVC has gone bad.
The other thing that can cause this issue is bad vacuum line to your HAVC system. On the drivers side by the corner where the windshield meets in the engine compartment, there is where your vacuum canister. Follow the vacuum lines and look for any damaged lines throughout your jimmy and replace any damage lines.
Poor vacuum will cause the issues your have described and the other thing also that has been found is the vacuum switch to your 4WD on the transfer case to go bad and leak transmission fluid in to your vacuum line causing the same issues you have described.
Start from the beginning and 1.check the fuse, 2, check the vacuum line. 3 check to make sure there is no transmission fluid throughout your vacuum lines and replace the vacuum switch on the transfer case if there is. ($15.00 part at Auto Zone or Napa)
Thank you for using fixya and good luck

Check the actuator motors on the inside on the heater box to see if they are working. They are small motors with rods mounted on the outside of the heater under the dash. This motor moves the arms that direct the heat to where you want it.

Zoneline Airconditioning - Winterizing and drain line

Yes this will recycle the room and can be cover outside if it is not a heat pump and will use elec heat strips to heat. As long as it is tilled toward the back the water will run out the back without a drain kit there should also be a drain hole in the bottom.

Dryer does not cool down and clothes are "very hot" to touch when cycle has completed. We changed out the cycling thermostat but that does not seem to be the problem. Any suggestions?

Hi,

Check all vents and clean the filters.

There should be a blower fan inside that circulates the air when the heating element is on.
If the fan is not circulating the air properly, the heat will build up.

There is also a problem of accumulation of lint in the air ducts.

This should be removed.
There are numerous occurances of similar problems to yours resulting in fires, due to excess heat and lint build up.

PLEASE be aware of the safety issue in resolving this.

Thanks.

Non-working outside unit

If your unit is blowing heat inside and it's not a heat pump. It will be most likely electric heat in your case.
Sounds like you have a split unit meaning the condenser is outside and the cooling and the heat features are inside or under your home.If your Rudd is a heat-pump the outside unit will cycle/blow cold air outside in winter and hot air will cycle/blow outside during the summer season. Now, if for some reason the heat  is not coming on inside the house, would be the only reason that you would need to be concerned. Being a heat relay or breaker of could cause that problem. Hope this helps you, Sea Breeze

Outside unit does not come on in Summer

YOUR MODEL HAS A 3-5 MIN.TIME DELAY RELAY IN THE CONDENSER CONTROL PANEL OUT-SIDE. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FIX-IT YOURSELF ... THERE I SAID IT. IT IS WIRED INTO THE 24VOLT CONTROL CIRCUIT. THEY DO GO BAD AND OFTEN. IT IS THERE FOR A GOOD REASON. IT GIVES THE COMPRESSOR TIME FOR THE PRESSURES TO EQUALIZE INTERNALLY TO PREVENT "HARD START CONDITIONS". RUUD HAS A GOOD WARRANTY ON ALL PARTS 5-6 YEARS I BELIEVE. IF IT IS THE TIMER IT IS INEXPENSIVE ANYWAY. GOOD LUCK
