Display says emergency tank full, air conditioner doesn't work

We followed the instructions to empty the tank, but the indicator light is still on and the air conditioner won't turn on. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hello to all that have bought the Soleus LX 140 ac. I also bought one recently and the red full bucket light remained on no matter what I had tried, thus no compressor operation. I carefully opened the BACK then slid off the FRONT plastic piece. Now...facing the back end, on the lowest level on the left side there is the water tray contact switch. Mine had shifted in transit and was in the CLOSED position. I realigned the contacter where it should be, just by nudging it between a slot which you can see easily. I restarted the machine and wow, beautuful! All operating modes worked as designed. you can also DISABLE this problematic switch by disconnecting the mini plug that attaches to the main circuit board, just follow the 2 small wires up to it's little red plug and remove it from the board if you wish, but remember in this case the machine will NOT shut off the compressor if the tray becomes full!

I had same problem with my LX-140 and inability to activate compressor due to water emergency tank indicator on. I removed the casing, simple process of unscrewing all screws on periphery and popping casing off. I found the problem to be with my water float switch. This is a small ballast float which rises with water as tank fills and ultimately shuts off compressor if water in tank too high. When you pop off the back of the cabinet, go ahead and set that aside then carefully slide off the front. The circuit panel is still going to be attached so I rested the front panel carefully on top of the unit. so as not to detach the wires. I then found the float switch in lower right hand corner of unit (if you are looking straight at front). I toggled the switch a couple times then made sure it was resting back in slot. Popped the casing back on and it was fixed. I do recommend propping the unit up on a platform and allowing the water to run off through the tube into a larger container to avoid the float all together.

Were do i get the manuel for model number ph3 12r03 is the model number were or how do I drain the water and can you send me a manual

Here is the link to the manual:

http://s3.amazonaws.com/szmanuals/b0348062b23e23cd40550b61e1dc5f43

Here are those particular instructions:

Compressor Indicator

The " " icon will light up on the control panel display when the compressor turns on. The " " icon will turn off when the compressor shuts off.

Emergency Condensate Holding Tank

When the room temperature is low and the indoor humidity is high, the air conditioner may not be able to evaporate some of the moisture fast enough. When this happens, the water will accumulate in an emergency condensate tank inside the unit. Once the emergency condensate tank is full, the unit will automatically shut off and the " " will appear on the control panel display. To empty the condensate tank, unscrew the screw plug at the bottom back of the unit. You will need a small pan, approximately 1" high to catch the water coming out of the condensate tank. Once the condensate tank is drained, the unit will begin working within a few minutes. The emergency condensate tank holds approximate
ly 1.5 Liters of water.

Another option is to purchase a small hose from a hardware store that can fit around the 5/8" drain plug on the back of the unit and drain the unit into a gravity drain or larger pan for continuous drainage.

To resume operation quickly, empty the water container according to the following steps:

1. Turn the unit off. Do not move the unit when the water container is full.

2. Place the drain pan accessory under the drainage port at the back of the unit.

3. Remove the screw plug from the drain hole. The condensate water will drain out automatically. When the drain pan is full, screw the screw plug back onto the drainage hole to stop the water flow. Empty the drain pan. Repeat until all the water is emptied.

Once the water container has been emptied, screw the plug back onto the drain hole. Do not allow the
water to drip continuously into the drain pan, as it might easily overflow.

My Toyotomi TAD-30F 'tank full' light keeps coming on despite my emptying the tank daily.

Check and see if the light is activated by a float switch. If it is it may be sticking. Your owners manual may have a clue.

The e3 light is on and its not cooling just fanning

The E3 error code, indicates that the water in the collection tank is full and needs to be emptied.
Turn the unit OFF & unplug it, before attempting to drain the tank. Once that is completed, the unit should operate as designed.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

No problems does the unit take or need water?

No, you don't have to add any water. The unit uses an evaporator system that will produce it's own water, from the humidity in your household air. You will have to empty the tank(s) when the Full indicator light glows.

Hope this helped you.

I have a comfort aire pac-121 and the display is reading e4 and the ac is not working. i can't find a manual on line. How can I fix the problem? thanks andy

I have the same model, though several years old, and on mine E4 simply means the reservoir is full. Try emptying the reservoir tank and then turning the power on again. If the drain hose outlet isn't angled down, the water drains into the tank, which will need to be emptied regularly. (For constant use, may need to be emptied several times a day.)
