It is a very common problem with all laptops that the jack goes bad because people tend to move laptops around often when plugged in, and hold them on their laps the strain on the jack eventually wiggles loose the connection the motherboard. It is extremely inexpensive to fix. A new jack will run you about $5-6, but does take some patience and cautiousness to remove the old one and soldier a new one on without harming the motherboard. I would highly recommend to check with the manufacturer for warranty status before trying to fix yourself.

There are 2 common problems that end up with this.

1. Battery goes bad
2. Were ac plugs into unit becomes loose/damaged

There is no easy way to fix the connector is must be replaced by a laptop specialist and can get expensive. There are 4-6 connections holding the part to the motherboard and your looking at about 1/2 hour to 1 to just take the unit apart. Part general costs 12-30 bucks based on make and model. We have seen many of these come into our shop.

Thanks, Frank Z.

This could be one of 4 problems, all of which are relatively common
1. Your laptop's battery is broken or defective
2. Your battery charging cable is broken or defective
3. Your laptop's AC port is broken or defective
4. Your battery charging cable is unplugged

I'm not joking on the 4th one by the way, it's more common than you'd think. In any case, the best way to ascertain the problem is to check each of the components individually. First, make sure the computer is off. Plug the charger into the computer. If the charging cable has a charging light, is it on? Make note of this. Unplug the charger, unplug the battery, then plug the charger back in. Try to turn the laptop on. Does it turn on? Make note of the result. If nothing happens during any of these tests, the AC port is faulty.

If the charging cable has a light and it's on, the charging cable is most likely not faulty. If the computer turns on when the battery is not plugged in, then the cable is definitely not faulty. Generally, this means you should replace the battery. Depending on the battery design, fixing it yourself is sometimes possible, but it's nonetheless never recommended. I'm going to suggest that you either buy or obtain a new battery through the warranty if you have one.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. ;-)

Device detector screen doesn't come om when I hook up camera to PC - camera settings are correct

This can be the camera, the cable or the port (PC). Try it in another port and then if nothing a different computer. If you leave the cable plugged in then sometimes the port doesn't wake up and show a device detected or the cable gets yanked stepped on etc and is damaged. The camera itself can have its port fail.

The majority of the time just changing the port "fixes" this. The next usual suspect is the cable. The data cable is fairly cheap and available at most stores think walmart for cheap and camera store for expensive replacements. If the camera is the problem, and you will only know for sure after trying the ports and possibly a new cable you have a couple of options. It isn't that common but does happen. One is getting the camera replaced or repaired (check for any warranty) or just remove the memory card and use a card reader on your desktop or laptop to transfer. This is actually quite a bit faster than the cable anyway.

The ports on the pc can go out but that can be a driver needing to be re-installed or an actual hardware issue. If the port works with other usb devices such as a printer etc then it isn't the port. You can buy a usb port card for under $20 if it is.

Plugged in not chargin

This is a very common problem. To fix this you will need to take the charger to a shop to have it checked. If bad replace it. If good the it is probably the connector where charger plugs into laptop. This will be a trip to the repair shop.

I need a new charging port. The wires are bent inside and I can't straighten them to fit the charger. I can't charge the phone anymore.

You can buy one chargin port from your local vendor. Fixing it is easy as it does not involve any soldering. Just open the phone, remove the old one and put the new port in place. Make sure you do not shear any flexi prints.

Problem with charging my batteri in my fujitsu lifebook 7010

I can almost guarantee you without any qualm or hesitation the problem is the same common issue which plagued all 12 Fujitsu laptops I haive worked on so far this year. . . its a damaged a/c adapter jack... the component where the power adapter node connects to the laptop. This particular component is especially fragile in the life book computer anddoes not withstand and sharp or hard tugs or excess tension the power plug is apt to create in normal use. The component itself is cheap and can be easily ordered with prices within the $3.00 range. Unless you have a low-heat soldering iron, take it to a repair center. This issue has become so common, you should be able to find a repair center to repair the jack and get your computer back in business for around 100.00 or less.

Hope this answered your question and I was able to FIX-YA. I look forward to your feedback.
