Hi, u have clearly mentioned that u are able to hear the sound from ur television. So the audio port of ur tv has no problem. The problem is that the picture tube of ur tv has damaged totally. Video output port has lost its ability to display on screen. If u are in a option of repairing ur tv its better to get a new picture tube or else if u opt for purchasing ur new television its well and good. but the cost for replacing ur new picture tube costs more.
Sounds like you a CRT drive problem. Does screen change when attempt to adjust the G2 voltage?
Your 1995 TV has served you well and I think it would be a waste of $'s to attempt to repair. Buy a new LCD, HD TV. FEB. 2009 is just around the corner (for HD only signal).
It sounds like CRT (picture tube) may be bad.
the picture tube (what makes the TV picture work) has blown out. Just call you nearest tv reapair shop and purchase a new one. (these are kind of expensive!)
(Also, if it's fifteen years old, i think it's time to get a new T.V. hint. hint.)
