Question about Sharp Televison & Video

1 Answer

I bought a 32? ?Sharp ?component-in /mts? television in 2004. How can I reset the television? , the picture is over sized and moved by 20% to the right-hand side although not black space on the left side. The left-hand middle pulls in by 1 cm when a bright object appears on the screen. Some one (I believe it was me) changes the picture display size, and the remote was damaged by my dog before it was reset to the previous settings. The picture on display is also not as good as before, although the white color appearance is 100%. Is there any way to recover the fabric settings with a generic remote?

The picture size has changed

The problem has been resolved on it's own. I'm guessing that maybe my cable company had changed the display setting on some of the stations. The picture of stations that I noticed the problem on appear to be within the screen.

DVD/VCR hook up to HDTV. No audio on DVD or VCR, no video on VCR

When you use component audio, it may shut off the side a/v audio settings. Try restoring all defualts (any changes you have made will be lost by doing so) according to p. 32 of the manual:
Menu --> Setup --> Reset --> Yes

Screen randomly flashes black

First and foremost you need to change one of two things. Either your video output settings on your xbox 360, or use an hdmi cable as opposed to component cables. Component cables are only designed to output video up to 1080i, not 1080p(big difference). So if you try to run a output signal of 1080p with cables only made to send 1080i, you will have picture issues.
