Unknown hp power-on password

Did you do all these steps in order?

1) Remove the computer power pack battery. Remove the keyboard.
2) Remove the RTC battery. Wait 5 minutes. (I would wait longer, maybe 15 minutes.)
3) Reinstall the RTC battery. Reinstall the keyboard.
4) Plug the AC power into the computer. (DO NOT INSTALL THE POWER PACK BATTERY AT THIS POINT)
5) Turn on the computer.

This should reset the password and also all CMOS settings.

remove the CMOS battery from system board and boot once after booting shutdown your system and insert the battery back, again start your system and press F1 next time it won't ask you for pressing F1. reset your BIOS after that (time, date, etc.)

Hp compaq nx6110 wireless problem

Nope - battery is not the problem. Most likely problem is that the wireless radio is using POWER SAVE MODE which shuts it down (or lowers the output power) in times of low network activity to save power. Check in CONTROL PANEL -> SYSTEM -> DEVICES -> NETWORK ADAPTERS -> (wireless card name) - PROPERTIES and then look for an entry in CONFIGURATION and so forth called POWER SAVE and disable it. It might also be controlled through a third party software program running on your machine (something like "Intel wireless configuration" that may also be running in your system tray) - investigate that and look for an entry that says "allow the wireless card to shut down to save power".

Good luck.

Problem with monitor

Hi Gabzie,

Don't worry regarding that the issue regarding the display could be probably you try changing the brightness when you  are plugged with  you power  supply and regarding the non system disk error may at that point of time the system has taken both the hard disk and dvd drive as master that is the reason you have got this message if this repeats then please provide me the serial no. and product no of the notebook and where do you live so that i'll guide you.
