Try installing some other sim. if the problem persists, then the problem is with your phone. reset the phone to factory settings. if the problem is shown for the particular sim alone then you should have either damaged the sim physically or electronically or dropped in water. change the sim then

Insert sim card message

The SIM card insert message usually appears on most phones if there isn't a SIM card inserted.

Depending on what phone you're using, it could also suggest that there's a problem with the contact on your SIM card, or that the tray on your phone that holds the SIM is damaged. Even more rarely, it could be a software issue from a recent update causing this to happen, but this is unlikely. Try removing the SIM card and turning the phone off, reinserting it and turning the phone back on.

Additionally, if you want to try and clean the contacts, you can very lightly take a pencil eraser and try to remove abrasions from it, but be careful not to damage it by rubbing the eraser too hard.

If you've tried these and still have not seen a solution, try getting a new SIM card from your phone provider, and if all else fails your phone may just simply have an issue, and may need to be serviced or replaced.

Phone Cannot Send or Receive Calls and Text Messages: A Simple Electronic Glitch

It is frustrating when only your phone cannot send text messages no matter how strong the network signal is. Sometimes you feel nobody cares about or remembers you because nobody calls or texts you but actually there are. Your phone just can't be reached or can't receive text messages. When these happen, turn off the phone; remove the battery and then the SIM card. Insert the SIM card to another phone and try sending text messages; if you still cannot send text messages, remove the SIM card and let it sit off the phone for at least fifteen minutes then insert it gain. You should be able to send text messages after that, but make sure you have credits.

The next thing you should look into is the phone. Make sure network signal is present then insert a known good SIM card in your phone and try sending text messages. Reset the phone if you still cannot send text messages, but back up important files and data, such as contacts, videos, images, and messages, before doing so.

One simple way to "reset" the phone is by removing the battery and letting it sit for at least fifteen minutes. Another way is by restoring the phone settings to factory settings. Simply navigate to settings then phone settings and select "restore to full factory settings" depending on the brand and model of the phone.

This tip is not intended to solve virus or firmware problems but rather to avoid unnecessary visit to the service center and save few bucks from a problem only caused by a simple electronic glitch. Check the network signal strength and your credits before jumping into any conclusion.

Nokia n73 sim not valid

Is your Nokia N73 locked with any particular network? If it is, then when you insert other operator's sim, there is a possibility to show sim not valid message. To turn off the message , you need to unlock the phone. To unlock, I suggest you can approach and specify the country, locked network of Nokia N73. Based on the availability you can get the unlock code along with free instructions. Other possibilities are...not proper insertion of sim...which you can try after reading the manual.

My blackberry curve screen shows a SOS in the upper right.....I cannot make an outside blocks with a message "emergency calls only"! A message at top of screen says"insert SIM card". What...

The message you are getting from your phone indicates that no sim is present in your phone, perhaps you have inserted the sim in a wrong manner, hence the phone does not recognize the presence of the sim card.

Here is the solution;

1.Remove the back cover of the phone and remove the battery respectively,

2.Afterwards,re-insert the sim card in a manner indicated by an arrow located beside the sim port,or as described by the user manual.

3.Ensure you turn on the radio connection, which is located in the manage connection settings in the main menu.

Problem solved

Have a nice day...

Unable to send messages from Nokia 2310

The problem could the SIM card or the phone. Remove the SIM card from the phone, insert it to another phone and try sending messages. If you can send messages then the problem lies in the phone. To verify, insert a different SIM card into your phone and try sending messages. The problem can be resolved by removing the battery and the SIM card from the phone then wait for at least 15 minutes before putting them back.

Screen says to "Insert SIM", but it is already inserted in phone and has been since phone wasw purchased. I did remove it and put it back in, but it still has same "insert SIM" prompt. Removing battery,...

If it is giving you that message that means it is not detecting the SIM in the slot. You can try removing the SIM and clean it with a soft cloth and reinsert it. You can also try to use any other SIM and make sure if the phone's SIM contact is working properly.

I can't turn off my Samsung SGH - D880

Yesterday I also got the same problem on Samsung DUOS SGH-D780!
I found temporary solution how to drop this error message and run the phone normally, but after next reboot it often become again. I will ask Samsung tech. support about this, but now here is the emergency solution:

1. Turn OFF the phone (by removing the battery)
2. Move out all the SIM cards from the phone
3. Insert the battery again (BUT DON'T TURN ON THE PHONE, just insert the battery)
4. Insert a charging cable into the phone and insert the adapter in wall outlet

(then I see the loading screen for the short time and after that CHARGING icon appears)

5. After that turn ON the phone. It will start in no-sim mode.
6. Turn OFF the phone
7. Remove battery, insert SIM-cards, insert the battery.
8. Turn ON the phone

After that it gonna be work good until next reloading...
