I bought a used six element ninnai propane ventless heater and I don't have the model number. It has three buttons and a push button igniter all spring loaded. After igniting (all burners work) it take...

Despite what you may think, Rinnai still makes vent-less portable gas heaters. The following is a link to all they have to offer. Find the one that looks like yours and click on it. From there you can find and download the Owner's Manual.

As far as adjusting the pilot flame is concerned ... there is no pilot flame adjustment on vent-less gas appliances. In addition to cleaning the tip of the Thermocouple, you should also blow out the pilot tip using canned compressed air with a straw nozzle (like you clean your computer with). Especially, if the pilot flame is curling up and away from the thermocouple. It may simply be a case of a dirty pilot.

I hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Rinnai gas log heater (royale) keeps cutting out. now it wont stay on at all. the ignition is fine, the gas flow seems fine and the fan works fine. we vacuum the dust out regularly

When you say "it won't stay on at all." Do you mean the burner and the pilot flame shut off together or does the pilot remain lit? Is the unit showing any Fault Codes on the LCD display?

Too much flame on Rinnai Pilot light

On the end of the old pilot tubing there should be a small part. This "oriface" would have been inserted inside the pilot assembley in the same hole that the pilot tube screwed into. This small oriface has an extremley small hole in the end that reduces or restricts the gas pressure down to the low volume needed for a pilot flame. I bet that when you removed the old pilot tubing this oriface fell on the floor and rolled under the furnace. Find it, clean it and reinsert it. You will be fine. If you cannot locate it. You will need to buy a new pilot assembly. They come with a new oriface already installed.
Good luck..........

Rinnai wall heater won't lite.

You may need to take the pilot assembly apart and clean the pilot orifice. If the pilot does not stay lite you may need a new thermocouple. Good Luck.
