Question about Heating & Cooling
Our central airconditioner was installed in 1993. it was working just fine yesterday and today it shut off. now and then it starts up but immediately shuts it's self off. we have lived here 12 years and never have added freeon. any idea's>
Sounds like it cycles on either head pressure or low pressure. If you have a Carrier unit it has both controls. Is your outside fan running. Is your condensor dirty. A unit that old needs to checked bby a service tech. Remember freon does just go away. If he puts gas in your unit there is leak. HINT Ask for free estimate on repair before it is fixed. That way you know the cost up front. Rus
