You don't. Without a memory card in the camera, there are no pictures to get out. It's really hard to be nice when they ask these kinds of questions.

Maybe those shots you took were in the raw mode, If so then you have to convert them with the Nikon software that camera with the camera,to view them in your laptop, Try installing that software then view them again, Hope this helps,

How do i know if my pictures are saving on my card? is there anyway to view pictures objects without looking through the small opening?

The D60 won't save pictures anywhere other than the memory card. If you can playback your pictures by pressing the playback button (marked with a right-pointing triangle), then they are saved on the card.

The display on the back is for the menus, reviewing pictures already taken, and shooting information. The D60 works as SLRs have worked for half a century: you use the viewfinder to compose your picture. The LiveView feature is a recent development in digital SLRs. Nikon introduced it into their cameras with the D3 and D300. The D60 is designed as an introductory model and lacks this feature. Sorry if that wasn't the answer you wanted to see, but there it is.

My d60 has been taking ages to load a picture after is has been taken (up to a minute) im guessing a battery problem, but are there any other ideas?

Try transferring the images to to disk, and then format the memory card in the camera. The card could be fragmented and a format should clear it up. It is also possible that the memory card has a "bad" area on it - in which case it is harder to load images from the card.

You could try a new card - but you might want to spring for a higher speed card than the generic types. A 30mb /sec rated card can give a nice performance boost without hitting the wallet too hard.

Hopefully, this helped! Good luck!

Sorry to say but this camera does not come with a internal memory with it, so you really need to get a memory card for it for you to use it.
Here;s the link for the complete specs of this camera.

Nikon d60 won't play back pictures

Sounds like your computer or the software program you're using to download your pics is set to automatically erase the card after the download.

Picture transfer from internal memory

Your D40 has no internal memory. The camera can take a shot, and even show you the image on the LCD, but is not actually saved anywhere, unless a memory card is present. There is a way to prevent the camera from firing without a card. It is in the setup menus.

I took a picture wihtout a CF card in the camera

When you take pictures without the internal card , they get stored inside the camera internal memory (usually 8 or 16 MB only).

Connect the camera to a computer using a data cable, without putting any memory card inside the camera. The camera internal memory will be displayed as a new external usb disk on computer.
