transmission diode is located in the red wire to transmission wire harness that feed power to the tcc solenoid inside the transmission side pan where valve body located the inside pan wire harness is the harness where diode located when you remove side pan cover the top red feed wire at top harness where positive diode tied in the red wire circuit.if you referring to diode instead fuse that only thing i can think of.

I have a 110 welder the wire feed works, lite switch comes on and fan runs but there is no spark. it is set up for flux core welding, the ground wire is attached tight. mod. 117-075-000

sounds like theres a problem with the transformer/diode assy. thats where your weld current comes from. if your inclined, remove the cover you will see a wire wound transformer with a diode or rectifier assy. look at the wire leads, some have tube insulation over them . inside the tube insulation you will most likey find an inline thermal protecter either soldiered or crimped . you can remove it and get a new one through an electronics supply co. you can also look on the circuit board for a fuse there also may be soldered. or worst case, board or diode assy is burnt . hope this helps .

New Hobart Handler 140, feeds wire properly, but no weld output

Check the two main diodes. These units have a light duty cycle. About 20% if I remember correctly. I have one that I was welding with for a considerable amount of time, and burned up the diodes. You can test them by disconnecting the wires (with unit disconnected) and use a ohm meter. You should get a reading in one direction, but not the other. If no reading, then the diode is blown. You can order new ones from your local welding shop. Also check all conections on the secondary for any signs of overheating and loose connections.

My wire feed wheel on my lincon sp130 mig welder has ceased to turn. How do I trouble shoot if it is a burned out motor or something else?

Check the voltage at the wire feed motor while the trigger is pulled. If there's no voltage, it's pretty safe that it's not the drive motor.
Also, with the unit unplugged, check the big power (stud) diodes for shorts.
I had a wire feed motor stop because 2 of the big diodes were shorted.

I have a Lincoln Electric Power Mig 200 and I managed to get the frame of the welder touching the piece I was welding and I noticed it started to weld about half the time as though maybe half the rectifier...

I would guess that you are on the wrong track. Half of the diodes going out would cause problems 60 times per second, which would be too fast to notice. Unless the diodes all shorted and you're essentially running AC now, which is possible, but unlikely. When my wire feed "pushes" like that,it's usually because the tip is burnt or dirty and not making great contact with the wire. Try replacing the copper tip that the wire feeds through. If that doesn't fix it, look for a bad connection on the wire that runs from the diodes to the torch. Good luck.

I have a Lincoln Weld Pak 100 that was working fine. I shut down the machine though and when I came back to it about 5 hours later the wire feed motor wouldn't turn anymore. Has anybody else had the same...

Check the voltage at the wire feed motor when the trigger is pulled.

I had a Weld Pak 100 that with 0 volts at the wire feed motor, and the problem wound up being that 2 of the big power (stud) diodes were shorted.

Wire doesn't feed

Either the trigger mechanism in the gun is bad, the servo that turns the feed wheel is bad, or you have too much tension on the adjustable tensioner knob. Take the wire out of the feed wheel, plug unit in and see if you can get the wheel to turn. If not, it is the trigger or the servo. If it turns, the tensioner was too tight.

John deere x320 will not syart. if one coil ground is disconnected it will start right up. if started this wsy the pto will not engaage.

The wiring harness under the engine shroud that feeds both coils has a diode on each of the wires that connects coils. The diodes keep each coil from grounding each other out so when one diode goes bad it will only run on the cylinder with the strongest coil.Order new harness from Deere, cost less than $30.

1966 chevelle with 283 cu. in.

the r terminal only has 12 volts on it when you are cranking the starter over. so the wire that goes to the r terminal goes to the plus side of the coil then the wire that come from the switch also goes to the coil this wire should have only about 8.5 volts on it when switch is in run position the r terminal puts 12 volt on the coil while cranking the motor over the when the switch is in the run position there is 8.5volt on the points so you don't burn the points out the diode kit i don't no why you need it unless the don't what any back feed volt to the r terminal in the run position so i would put it in line(series) with the r terminal wire the flow on the diode is from the -<- this side of the diode goes to the coil
