Hello! Dan Busa with DISH Network customer service. This may be a signal reception problem you can try checking cabling and connections coming from your antennae.

check the coax ends you may not be getting a signal to the box especially the ones outside. any that are corroded needs to be replaced.

U have paid cable, u don't need the converter box.Not even the analog tv require the coverter box, if u have paid cable or satalite tv or telicom signal.All ur tvs is hook up to the Comcast Cable correct?That all u need not, require the converter box.

I would guess that you are using either cable or satellite for reception. If that is the case, the signal is already a "digital" one. The digital reception you are attempting to receive is the over-air broadcast signal that was implemented recently. This change-over only effected those using external antenna connections. Cable and satelite systems have not changed.

Check to make sure your DTV antenna is an "all band" antenna with reception in both the UHF and VHF bands. It sounds like you may be in Philadelphia area. In Philadelphia, all the DTV stations are in the UHF band except Ch 6 and Ch12, which are in the VHF band. Some of the DTV antennas are UHF only. You can tell if yours can receive VHF if it has the "rabbit ears" long wip antennas. If so make sure the whips are extended fully and turn the antenna to try to get a good signal.

yes if runing sat or cable, if your using antena you will need dtv antena and dtv box for reception.
