Cannot install driver (code 10 )

I recently purchased a Kodak m1063 and a memory card to go with it. I took over 600 pictures and went to put them on my camera, and it says "installing software" then two minutes later says "cannot install software (code 10) please contact the manufacturer" I have contacted them several times and they keep telling me to do things Ive already done, and it still doesnt solve it. Ive cleaned up the previous installation, and reinstalled the easyshare photosuit, (which is supposed to have the driver on there, version 7.1) and it is still giving me this error. My computer runs windows vista basic home edition. Can someone please help me figure out how to install this driver so I can get the pictures off of my camera?

Don't use the camera to load the pictures. see if your printer or computer have an SD card reader or buy one for $10 plug it into your USB drive and access the pictures that way...

Once you plug in your SD card Via SD card reader go to my computer and open the drive with the SD card on it... Shouldn't be difficult to figure out. Cut or Copy all your pics and paste them into your My Pics folder or any other folder of your choosing. Enjoy your pics...

I have several pictures on my camera I took a couple of days ago that show up in the view but will not upload to my computer. I deleted some pictures and video files to free up space but it did not help....

Transfer all of your picture to your PC, format your memory card to make it new again with full space of memory.
Or just buy a new memory card with larger capacity to get many pictures saved in it.

Hope this help and RATE please.

When ever i put my memory card in my camera it says it needs formatting but this will remove all my photos? I have used this memory card and camera together many times with no problems?

Purchase a separate card reader and download your pictures to your computer. Then, you can safely format the card in the camera. Use the card reader for downloads from now on....you'll be glad you did. typrice_30.jpg

My M1063 is not transfering all pictures--I checked transfer all and remove from camera, so now I do not have pictures I took. Could it be the memory card? How often do you need new memory card? Thanks

Some cameras have a built in memory bank inside the camera other than the memory card. Your pictures may have been stored in there instead of the card. Check your user manual to verify if it has the built in memory. In order to down load these pictures you will need the USB cable that came with the camera. The memory card can be used several times. I recommend formating the card if you want to reuse it again. The card does not go bad that often.

How do I delete pictures from the memory card on my Kodak M1063? Thanks.

The best way to delete all information on your memory card on Kodak M1063 is to format the memory card:

Format your SD card. NOTE this will delete all existing data on your SD card.
Do the following:
  1. Insert the memory card into the camera. Make sure the card is firmly seated (push in the card until it clicks into place).
  2. Turn on the camera.
  3. Press the Menu button, then go to the Setup Menu.
  4. Scroll up or down to the Format option, then press the OK button

When transfering pictures from camera to PC EasyShare will not transfer some pictures. "picture already exists" in My Collection. These are all new pictures taken with blank memory card. This occurs even...

Scrap the camera! Kodak hasn't and won't address the problem. Most picture download software won't recognize the camera. The only solution is to remove the memory card from the camera, put it in USB adapter and treat it like a flash drive. Cumbersome. Awkward. Stupid. After you scrap the ****, tell your friends so they don't make the mistake of buying a Kodak.

My internal memory is full and I can't take picturs.

Put a card in this camera, and copy from the internal memory to the card all the pictures.

Most cameras have an internal menu to allow you to transfer or copy all files to the SD card (if you can copy the files, then copy them and delete all internal files after copy).
This digital camera has an internal memory of 16 megabytes which is a lot. But if the memory is full, it has to be copied, or delete some pictures.
