The modem will tie up the line but it does not mean that you are connected you may have a bad modem.

Satellite p35 will not go to wireless

Might not have a wireless card installed ??

If your Toshiba Satellite notebook computer is equipped with a wireless Internet card, you can connect to a Wi-Fi access point by turning on the wireless switch on the side of the laptop.
However, the signal may not always be picked up by your wireless receiver; if that is the case, you will need to check your wireless-network settings and reconfigure the network connections manually.

Open the Network Settings program. Click on the Control Panel in your "Programs" bar and select "Network Settings."
This will give you options for modifying how you connect to the Internet.
Select "Connect to a Network" or "Show Network Status and Tasks."
Both selections will show you whether you are disconnected from the wireless network.

Select "Manage Network Connections."
This selection is located on the left side of the window; clicking on it will show you whether you are connected to a local area connection or wireless network connection.

Engage the wireless connection.
Turn your wireless switch to "On," then right-click on the wireless network connection.
Select "Connect/Disconnect."

Wait for the IP address acquisition.
It may take a few minutes for your Toshiba Satellite to pick up the signal and transmit your IP address.
When this is complete, you will see the word "Connected" next to the name of your wireless connection, and a series of bars that indicate signal strength.
Launch your favorite browser to access the Internet using the wireless connection.

No signal lorex

please make this test with your surve cameras:

Monitoring Problems

  • Cameras can now be monitored remotely, even through the Internet. However, there are times when monitoring a Lorex camera will not work because of browser or software incompatibility. Check to see if your system's software runs fine prior to use and get software updates as necessary. Because continuous monitoring can be tiring, installation of motion sensors helps make the monitoring process more efficient.

Internet Problems

  • Internet monitoring is now a very popular feature of security systems where users can get surveillance camera footage from their homes, business establishments or even while on vacation. Poor or slow Internet service can lead to difficulty accessing data. When monitoring surveillance cameras away from your home or business, be sure you have a fast and reliable Internet connection.

God bless you

Routing problem on ZTE MF61

It sounds like the devices can't see the internet through your router, check the gateway IP address ... this should be listed on your devices serial number sticker on the back of the router..
also check your user name and password is listed with your ISP... this may be found in the admin menu via the search box for internet, usually something like 192.168.1.1

It is showing that i am connected to a wireless network, but for some reason it want let me get on the internet.

To get out to the internet your network set up has to have the router's ip number as the GATEWAY and your ISP's DNS numbers (tho auto detect should work for that. DNS is what allows your connection to find websites and domains).

Check to make sure your MODEM (from the ISP) is actually connected. Connect directly to it without your router to see if you get on the net. Or if you have other computers on your network can they get out to the net?

Is the wireless network it shows you connected to your own network? Or has it perhaps picked up a neighbor's wifi?

The most likely problem is that it isn't detecting the DNS. If it's not picking it up automatically would will need to know your ISP's DNS numbers/addresses.

Modem busy

Hi, could be somthing stupid like your internet provider. easy way to tell if its the pc, when you get the busy on your modem, pick up the house phone and dial the number you are trying to connect to the internet with. if you get a whining then its somthing to do with the pc, if you get a busy tone then its your internet provider. as most providers aint handling as many customers through dial up as they are moving to broadband :-) Hope this helps John
